Exactly! There are no issues with e-liquid being sent to Austria or anywhere in the EU from the UK or any other EU country within EU countries, if you have liquids confiscated or if they threaten you with all sorts of penalties, they are in the wrong. Contact your postmaster, flag the issue make a report. Do not settle for this kind of nonsense.
Prosecute you for what? Someone got it wrong, they should have returned your property back to you also!
This kind of bureaucracy makes me mad!

I did protest and I got my stuff back after about six weeks. I also heard that the appeal court(?) threw out a similar case, so either the law was changed or it's no longer enforced.

And I have just received this from Austrian customs (they must work late!):

"It is allowed to send liquids for electronical cigarettes from UK to Austria, there are no restrictions or prohibitions (if they are not containing drugs)."

Sounds good to me:)
