Hello all,
I just recently got an MVP2 from 101vape. This is a step up from that Halo triton i was using.
All i can say is, i have officially caught the bug.

With christmas right around the corner, me and my wife usually buy each other christmas gifts. We give each other ideas on what to get each other. (because we dont have any kids yet).

Well i want to tell her that i want a DNA20 mod lol. I just dont know where to get one or wich one would be a good one. The only two i even know of are the Nintendo controller and the OpusD. Does anyone have any suggestions? Figured i would ask because she might even want the same exact thing, she has caught the bug as well with her new MVP, shes even been getting into rebuilding protanks like i have been doing.

This wouldn't be a bad place to start.... Wizard's Apprentice EVOLVED

^ that right there.

Judging solely by the craftsmanship, materials and functionality in the Mark Bugs RBAs I own, I would say that this mod would be in its own league of craftsmanship, quality and functionality. Throw in exclusivity factor, insane demand / resale value and it is over the top.

If I were in the market for a DNA 20 mod I would seek and buy one without hesitation.

+1 on interest in the ZNA from Zen. It looks very interesting -- can't wait to see what the final production version will look like. But it won't be available until after Christmas.

In the meantime, I have a Futura on order with the hope that it will be arriving this month.

Ya me too, lookin at the opus d and shark dna (not out till the20th). The opus d seems expensive so I am curious about the shark as it is 100 bucks cheaper and I like the layout a little more. Just don't know yet.

Need to have some peeps do a compare.

The prices vary between 20d mods mainly due to the form factor, battery size, production costs and etc. They all utilize the same Evolv DNA20d board (which you can buy @ 50 bucks and build your own). Some have on board micro usb charging and some have removable batteries requiring a charger...

Really boils down to what ya want....and what form factor ya like.....and what ya want to spend.....a lot more dna20d mods will be coming out as VW technology is really gaining popularity and Evolv's power regulating chips are first class....

Or ya can build your own...... such as this one.... http://www.howder.com/milo-dna20d.pdf

Very interested in the ZNA. Come Dec 27th, the F5 is going to get worn out on this keyboard.

Here's another one: Products | Protovapor

There are several who make or have made DNA20 mods.

Here are some I recall that I don't think have been mentioned:
Shan Mods
Man Cave Mods
There is also a steam punk one....
and 2 other tube mods in addition to the Wizard
Hana Mod

And, there are more.
Anyone care to help come up with the names?

My experience has shown that acquiring the higher end or more high tech mods often require some pre-ordering or thread watching for availability.

If someone is interested in a DNA 20 mod don't expect to get one on a coop or at chinese wholesale prices. IMHO, complaining about DNA 20 mod prices is pretty disrespectful to the people that are making and producing them for us, and Evolv for their continual research and development of exceptional products.

A BIG DITTO....TR.....you got it right..... having built a few dna20d mods I can tell you that a lot goes into design, testing, and implementation not to mention the time involved.......I guarantee you if the china bunch could figure out the Evolv technology they would jump on it.....thank goodness for source code and programmable chips.....and for Evolv - made in the USA.....good to see Evolv products shipped worldwide to go in foreign made devices......

funny thing that 2.5 years ago I purchased a VW mod for $250.00. High end mod for the times back then.. but that same device is still my favorite at-home mod today...still works like new after 2.5 years.....Yes it is an Evolv Darwin.....the best vaping investment I have made......and the VW technology in it is still relevant today but Evolv continues to make improvements and give us better stuff....

Awesome, thanks you guys there are some sweet looking ones here. Now to go through them all and start looking at the different designs. Also i would have no problem dropping 2-300 bucks on one because it is an investment and its not really my money anyways, its Newports money...only Newport hasnt been getting it for awhile now (lol i suck at jokes).
