So I'm about a month into my vaping journey and as many of you have, I started with an eGo VV...doohickie. (someone just twitched somewhere) Last week I ordered an MPV 2 and it arrived today!! It already had a good charge on it, the light was green, so I tossed my protank2 onto it after properly setting the wattage and I loooooooooove it! Not exactly impressed with the iClear30 that came with it, it leaks, but the MPV 2 is fantastic. The instructions were easy to follow, I really notice a change in the way I can vape from my protank2 now. Thanks to everyone that recommended it and showed me where to find it for a good price! I'm still determining the difference between using variable voltage and wattage but it's still great!

I guess the next step will be learning to rebuild coils!

Welcome to the MVP fan club! It is sure a nifty little device and I love mine a lot!:) I agree about the iClear 30. I passed mine along to someone who wanted it.

I'm not tech oriented, and didn't want to keep changing the settings on mine. Someone in the MVP forum recommended using the P button only, and setting to 8.00 watts. That's what I've done, and it works great with all my tanks and juices on that setting. I never touch the U button.

The difference between using the voltage and wattage is using the wattage is a set it and leave it whereas setting the voltage means you'll have to reset it each time you change the topper. Wattage will allot for whatever topper you put on it, voltage won't and you'll have to reset it each time.

That explains why I like using the watts setting, lol. I am a "set it and forget it" kind of person.:)

Yes I love my mvp2 also. I didn't even try the atomizer that came with it (keep it for backup hard times) but have been very pleased with the Protant mini's on it. Fantastic battery life. I would probably put a full charge on it to begin with. I know you will be impressed with the battery life. I am getting around 1100 "toots" on a single battery charge. So pleased. Good luck to you and you should go ahead and order some Kanthal from Temco or somewhere and get started on the rebuilding because I kept putting it off because I wasn't sure I could do it. With the help of YouTube I found out how easy it is and which I had tried sooner. Happy vaping and so glad you are here. Welcome. :)

I felt the same way about the iClear 30 when I first got it with my MVP but I learned to really love it. You have to make sure that head is screwed on good and tight, otherwise I don't see why it should be leaking at all. It inspired me to look into other top coil tanks and eventually I got a Viva Nova and right now that's my favorite one. But there's nothing like the good thick vape from that double coiled IClear, just have to keep rolling it around to keep the wicks saturated is all.
