Yep. Going to Michigan for about 10 days. From the time I leave my house til I get where I'm going is gonna be about 25 hours traveling time. Gona be longer coming back.
Yes. Only reason I go back other than for work and haven't done that for over 2 years.
OMG that's a lot of travel time
I've had some trips that were 30 hours one way. And I don't sleep good on planes.
That really sucks
Lived here half my life now. Went into the Corps when I turned 18 and a few years later made the first trip over here. Was supposed to be a one year tour then I was gonna get out. Ended up reenlisting and staying here for four before going back to the States. Did 12 out my 20 here, retired and stayed. Do miss hunting a bit but I try to make up for that with fishing.
I'm comfy here. Don't mind doing visits to the States but at the 2 week mark I'm ready to get back. My last Stateside tour was '96-'98 and that was too long. Overall things are less stressful for me here.
Actually have had them a couple times. They sell them in the stores but more fun to catch your own.
