We had a cocker spaniel who used to hide for 3 days straight when he got a summer haircut...I guess she was embarrassed. The first time we got her a haircut, we couldn't find her all day...wouldn't answer to her name, wouldn't come to eat ...nothing. We literally thought she snuck outside and was lost. Late that night I found her in the corner of my bedroom closet and I dragged her out but she constantly found new hiding places. The funny part is if we got her the traditional cocker haircut which was a bit expensive for us at the time, she would strut around like she knew she was beautiful. We all sure loved that dog...she had such a unique personality!!!

Is Rags a dog? I ask because I had a dog with that name when I was growing up.
Rags is 1/2 Rat Terrier and 1/2 Shut-zhu..nobody wanted him from the pound so we took him for our little dog Tippy...they do everything together and she is going to be so jealous when he gets home!
