Evening Crew/Morning Mac. My MIL is still in the hospital. I don't know if I had said this before, but the Dr's found an aneurysm near her stomach, and a large mass of something that we haven't found out what it is yet. She's 84 and is pretty weak. The Dr's will NOT do surgery on her. I just booked a flight for my wife and son to go and see her Mom down in Florida. We really don't know what is going on at this point, but it doesn't seem good. Time to go.......Goodnight................

Hey Mac. My wife wants to go, but is worrying about EVERYTHING like crazy (stuff up here, and down in Florida). I finally told her that she'll be kicking herself if she doesn't get down there soon and see her......especially if the "something" happens and she didn't go. Tickets are booked for Monday. Everything before that is super-crazy priced, and she doesn't want my son to miss any school, since he's got vacation next week. One of our biggest worries.....My son is 8, and has never been on a plane before. We are just hoping that it's not a problem! He's a smart kid, and told me tonight....."What if the plane crashes?" I can't have him worrying about that, and told him that his Mom and me have been on planes a lot. I'm just trying to figure out what else that I could say to him to help put his mind at ease. Gotta go......G'night/G'day.

No real advice for you to give your son about the plane except that if it's gonna crash he should jump just before it hits the ground. Don't know how he is with motion stuff but you might want to consider Dramamine for him in case it's a bumpy ride.
Just tell the wife you got everything covered for up there - although in some cases that does cause them to worry more.
Short notice tickets are always high priced - that airlines get you on that - they know if you waited til the last couple days then it's a pretty good chance you need to get there so they soak you for it.
