Great contest. Looks like I'll be posting here weekly until I win (and staying around after :p). I started vaping on April 2nd last year, but had a few relapses during periods of high stress. I haven't had an a cigarette since 10/14 (my wedding...can't get much more stressful) and my goal is to be analog-free for all of 2013. I'm going to China next month and am a little nervous about breaking my smokeless streak, so I want to get some new liquids (only tried 4 vendors so far) in hope that the variety will help me during the trip.

Welcome to the new brew crew Leeroy. Congrats on no stinky sticks and the new marriage. They're both very similar as the longer you go the easier it gets. :D
That's another spaz moment in case any of you want to write that one down.

Good luck on your trip to China. Make sure you take back-ups for your back-ups and then a few extra back-ups for those back-ups of everything you need for vapping. If you "think" you will need 240ml of juice take 720ml.
Trust me, you wont be sorry. ;)

Oh... and don't listen to Bill. He lies.

A LOT! :D

Please do. Inquiring minds want to know

Ok, You asked for it. :D

I didn't have any trouble finding the right Air Stone. They had a good inventory till I got there. LOL Actually I only snagged one 6" but just a heads up to anyone going out to find them. I found one of them cracked and that made me think that some may have very fine fractures that might not show until you start machining them down so just watch for that. See second pic.

As you can see in this pic I was a little too excited when I machined mine down and they didn't turn out to pretty. It didn't help any that I decided to make them for my little Mini DID and IMHO, this is just to small and fragile to mess with. I think I'll wait for commercial small wicks to be available. LOL On the far left is my old SS wick and coil I just popped off.

Here is my 3rd wick right before I snapped the damn thing trying to fix that center coil from glowing red hot. I think this was caused from my crappy shape as I had a few flat/low spots and the coil wanted to "float" above this low area. One thing I did learn is once you have your coils wrapped that's it. You can't nudge them around like we can on SS because the stone grips it pretty good.

Anyhow... I'm going to continue to play with my machining skills till I get one hacked out for my standard DID as I defiantly think these have potential.

Hi there Leeroy! Congrats on wedded bliss and no cigs since October, that's awesome!

Hopefully China will be so exciting you won't have any desire to relapse, but vaps has good advice. Backups and redundancy. And if all else fails, you can always go begging at one of the many ecig factories there! ;)

Vaps, how may turns is that, two?

That was a 2/3 34 ga. Kanthal A1 coil @ 1.5 ohm.

You don't need to worry about dust after machining them and cleaning it real well. They are basically like a piece of concrete and nothing comes off from them at all unless you scrape at it with a chisel or sumthin. LOL
Definitely soak in water before you machine on this stuff as it's pretty dusty if done dry and you don't want to be sucking that crap in your lungs.

I figured you cleaned it. I was unsure how well they cleaned up. I more of a 6-8 turns kind of guy. I like my resistance over 2 ohms

Yup, they clean up fine. They actually don't look dirty after machining them but you know there's dust in them pores.

I like mine about 1.7 - 2.0 on my Gennie set-ups with SS mesh. This one was kinda rushed and came out much lower than I normally do, plus my Provari doesn't play well in that range. lol

Get well soon Deana!
WE NEED JUICE! :D
ok... I don't but I'm thinkin a few others are twitching a little.
