I bought my wife a brand new car a few years ago. It was a surprise Christmas present and I had it hidden in our garage for 4 days and she never knew it was in there.
She absolutely love it. 14 days later this is what it looked like after some dumbass rear ended her towing a full sized farm tractor on a trailer with a little piece of chit S10 pick-up.
Thankfully My wife and Granddaughter were not hurt. But the insurance company made sure to screw us over pretty good.

So... yup... I know whatcha mean.

Ouch! A few years ago my mom bought her first brand new car since the 80s. She had it three months and in that time it was backed into while parked off street, sideswiped, and finally rear ended on the interstate. I was with her on that trip and had to be cut out of the passenger seat.
