I know it's a controversial ingredient, but I was wondering if anybody knows if the any vendors add MSG (monosodium glutamate) to their liquids.
I was also thinking about trying it in some diy juice. I'm trying to work my way around a PG allergy and I'm not thrilled with pure VG. I haven't tried the reduced PG, but I've added some PG to a VG liquid and didn't take much to make the problems crop up.
I have a bottle of it in the house (not sure why - don't remember having ever used it
). It's in a spice type bottle so I put a little in the bottom of a shot glass, then added a little warm water and sat the shot glass in a glass of heated water and it dissolved just fine.
I did look it up at the FDA website - I mean if you can't trust the FDA, who can you trust?
They have it in the GRAS category and it's used in beverages, so liquifying it must be ok.
Has anybody tried adding this to their liquids or have any thoughts on this?
