I haven't used them, but since no one's responding, I'll add what I know.

MBV uses FlavorWest. I've heard repeatedly that MBV dilutes FW flavors in order to make mixing easier. I don't have any solid confirmation, so I can't validate this.

If the flavors are FW, you may want to start with 10 and 15%. I wouldn't go any higher until you're sure it needs more. Many do say FW needs higher percentages, but there are so many varying opinions, I always like to try flavors individually at lower percentages.

Anyone using Mt Baker Vapor flavors? I ordered a bunch tonight. They recommend 15-40% flavoring on their site, and I was wondering what others had experienced with these. Most of my flavorings are Loranns at 5-10%, or Capellas at 10%.

eeek 15 - 40% ...I'd have to go back to buying store bought...economically speaking

Bakery/Candy types:
Butterscotch, Butter Toffee, Butter Pecan, & Caramel, etc. you can go higher 15% +.

Fruit types:
Be careful with Pina Colada and Pineapple, ie some fruits are stronger, 5% to 10% to start.
Cinnamon Roll would blow your socks off @ 15%, unless your taste buds are totally fried.
5-8%

Coffee types: typically 1% or less, very dark and strong.

Most of their flavors are "around" 15%. I like their Peanut Butter at 12%, Pineapple Upside Down Cake at 25%, Banana at 12%, and Root Beer at 13%. It is all what taste good to you. Another poster stated that 15% was too high for Cinnamon Roll. I mix mine at 15% and, to me, it tastes like MBV version with no flavor shots.

I don't know who started the idea that MBV flavors are "watered down" but they are not. Many other members have stated that they use the same MBV percentages as FW.

I mix a 15ml bottle of 80/20 pg/vg at 24mg nic for around a dollar. That's a pretty good deal

about the watering down, I have used the ecto cooler for about a year and a half. I always use 20% and has been my favorite for a long time. Recently it does not have the same great favor to me anymore. I thought it was my taste buds, so i put it down for a few weeks. then made a new batch, with a different bottle, it still tastes weak, I uped it to 25% and it still tastes weak, so something has changed, either a different formula for the flavoring or they changed flavor venders, I dont know whats going on.

Jason at FW says they use 15% for all their flavors for their premixed seller.
They develop all their flavors to work at the same concetration.
I don't know what ratio he meant but I'd bet 50/50.

I use 12.5% in all my FW/MBV flavors in 70/30 and it works for the 80+ flavors I've tried.
The 15+ flavors that I've tried from both FW & MBV work exactly the same at the same %
I use 15% in 50/50 and 18% in 30/70. the 30/70 was better at 18% than 20%

Good to know! I love that about Capella's- I know whatever I order I can mix it up at 10% and love it or hate it, it is the right formula. Now I just need to figure out what my formula is for FW/MBV. That takes some time for me. I take a tank or two to figure out if it is the right balance for my tastes. :)

I'm not sure if the coffees will follow this pattern though. My cafe coffee was good at 4% instead of the 10-15% of the others I was mixing. I can't imagine it would be the same at those levels!
