He said they had a major snowstorm, and most everything was shut down for a week.

It's weird when you win a nice freebie. You don't want to be an annoying nit, but you do want to get it, you know? Be polite and grateful, give him some time. But remind him after a week or so that you ARE waiting.

I live in NY so know all about how miserable this winter's been. It'd just be nice to have gotten an acknowledgement that he even received my email. I sent out mine to him the night I won, not because I was crazy mad to get it right away, but because I'd completely forget about having to send the email in the first place. Outa sight outa mind syndrome big time here

OTOH, it gives me time to save up to get decent batteries and all the rebuilding kit. So speed isn't the issue, it's just knowing I'm in the queue.

You need to let us all know how it works out for you, I'm curious. I've been reading up, including the info you passed along. Doesn't seem as daunting as it did initially.
