I got my first kit yesterday and couldn't wait to try it out. After getting the batteries charged, I loaded the carts with juice and took my first vape. Holy mother of mistakes!!! The liquid was WAY too high of a dosage (34mg) for me and I knew I was instantly ODing on nicotine! I was having the same effects I had when I first tried the patch which also had too high of a dosage... dizzy, light headed, shakes... Oh the "joys" of ODing on nic!

I couldn't do anything about it yesterday so I had to wait until today to go in search for some glycerin to dilute the juice. I did a 50/50 mix and that's still a bit too high for me so I added more glycerin. I'm a much happier person now and I'm hoping that by tomorrow I'll be able to say that after 21 years of slowly killing myself, I'll be analog free!

The 34 mg works great for my husband though. He likes that he can vape once or twice and he's good to go for the next few hours.

Our two sons are thrilled that we've taken the final steps to become non-smokers! They've been bugging us for years to quit smoking.

Glad to hear that you liked it! And now you have more juice ^_^
I've only been vaping 3 days and it has been an absolute pleasure (that only gets better. hehe). You'll find yourself keeping the windows rolled up in the car, just because you can =D

LOL...I love rolling up my windows, especially at a red light, getting a good puff on and letting out all that vapor, look at the person next to me and if it's young people, they start CRACKING up laughing...wonder what their thinking...lOL....

...or unconsciously rolling it down, even though you don't have to, lol. I still catch myself doing that sometimes... I guess I just miss the feeling the wind rushing past?

If you've got the glycerin, if you happen to run out of juice you can make your own. Poke around the DIY forum for some specifics, but basically you'll need flavoring that is not oil-based and probably some vodka/alcohol to cut the thickness of the VG.

Thanks, I'll do that, but for now I think I'll stick with ordering online and diluting as needed. Since I'm just starting out.... I WANT THE NICOTINE!!! LOL

Congratulations!!! And dont forget you can vape in your bed .. heck you can even fall asleep in bed, with your PV in your hand and not worry about burning the house down .. oh the pleasures of vaping :)

I've never fallen asleep with an analog in my hand. I'm terrified of house fires after seeing what happened to a family that was almost like part of our family. I was more afraid of hubby burning the house down because he had the bad habit of putting his analog down while lit, walking away and forgetting about them! I'd go into a room and find his analogs resting on the edge of a counter or a sink! He did stop that habit after me nagging him every time. That was one of the bonuses of switching to vaping and yes, I made sure to mention that benefit to him!

Great to hear you didn't quit. The first hurdle of vaping is getting your equipment and juice right. After that all the benefits and none of the negatives makes it all worth while. Good luck and welcome !

I agree about the hurdle of getting your equipment and juices right. I was lucky that the equipment I got was great, the hardest part for me was getting the juice right. I tried many different vendors and many different juices until I found the ones I like the best. There were times when I was so frustrated with juices I didnt like, glad that bumpy part is over.
