I started with disposable blu's and V2's a little over a week ago. They were 18s. I felt like I couldn't get a consistent throat hit, and wasn't feeling satisfied, so I got an ego and clearomizer on Monday. The guy at the vape shop said that I needed 24 juice since I was a pack a day smoker. The 24 made me feel awful!! Headache, nausea, shaking, extreme anxiety. I cut it 50/50 with glycerin thinking that would make it better, but it only helped a bit.

Went to a different vape store yesterday and he said since i was smoking a pack a day of LIGHT cigs, I probably needed 18. He said cutting the 24 juice 50/50 with glycerin probably made my vape around 22. Didn't understand, but went with it.

Did 18 for a day. Still felt a bit off.

Went back to the vape shop today for 12. Have been vaping that since lunch, and it gives me a headache too. I'm not vaping a ton, as I've been at work all day. What gives? Should I move to a 6? My fear is going too low will lead me back to analogs. But feeling like crap isn't great either.

I started with 12 mg as a PAD ultra lights smoker and it was WAY too much. SO I boght the same flavors in 6MG and mixed them giving me roughly 8-9 MG which was dead on. Then I started buying all my juices in 6 MG and as I run out of the mixed stuff I am vaping the 6 MG stuff and am absolutely fine with it.

The advice about water is no joke. Dehydration has been my worst side affect. I find I am drinking 2-4 Liters of water a day and very little caffinated soda. Otherwise I get a whole host of things from headaches, to dry burning skin, to drymouth, tocracked lips.

I started vaping a few days ago when i found ECF. While i smoked 1 pack a day i decided to go with 16mg juice from one of the suppliers on the forum.
The throat hit isn't the same as an analog but i've been hitting my RSST when i'm craving to smoke and i'm not having the same symptoms as you. As others already said, i stay hydrated the whole day.

I hope you can sort this out and don't go back to analogs. Post again if you are having better results =)

I quit smoking and started vaping the same day. It's been about a month now but for the first couple weeks I felt bad too. Mostly dizzy and lightheaded. I thought it was from too much nic content also but I was using 12mg sometimes 18mg and not vaping too much IMO. I think it may have been nicotine withdrawal from going off the cigs. I was only smoking about 1/2 a pack a day but from what I've heard smoking delivers a higher level of nicotine than vaping. Anyway, I kept on vaping and the symptoms eventually disappeared.

What you are describing sounds like too much nicotine. Also, if you cut 24mg 50/50 with glycerin...that should equal 12mg.

I was a very heavy smoker and started at 24mg. The symptoms you describe started to hit me after 2 months or so. I cut my nicotine to 15mg right away, and also cut my caffeine, Now I get woozy and anxiety even at 12mg...so I'm at 9mg.

It takes some experimentation to get it right...at least it did for me.

Lots of good advice here. Water - lots of water. Vaping - take a couple of leisurely pulls, inhale or not, and then release in a manner to your grandad smoking his pipe on a sunny sunday afternoon out in the garden. Don't try to "smoke it" like a cigarette. While strength of nic is important, how you vape can help too. If you chain vape, (which is fine to do) then use a lower nicotine. Nausea and headaches are generally nic related vs. PG or VG sensitivity. And yes, withdrawal from smoking a pack a day down to 0 a day can give you some issues too as your bod craves that arsenic, MAOI's nail polish remover and ammonia. Hang in there! You're definitely on the right road home.

Vaping. Well, probably both since you're detoxing from cigs...but that passes. So vaping.

Like said above, 24 mg cut 50/50 is 12 mg. So don't trust that particular vape store guy.

If the symptoms subside when you abstain from vaping, it's probably over-nic. If they don't subside, but a nic lozenge or gum or whatever helps (and you're sure your not over-nic'ed before you try more nic in another form) then your juice is crap. Otherwise, ...get some more professional advice.

Headaches are not uncommon while quitting. Also, some people change other things when they start vaping too...like quitting caffeine or something. And that complicates the symptoms. Shaking? could be over nic. Could be something else. IDK.

Headaches are dehydration are over-nic. Best guess. If the 12 mg works for ya, fine. Don't over vape.

You don't get a "smoked out" feeling with vaping. You have to put it down for a bit.
