First I love vaping...it got my off a pack a day habit as soon as I started. But why am I getting the munchies so bad? Does this happen to anyone else? I'd never go back but definitely packed on a few pounds over the last few months!!!
Yeah I definitely agree on the cancer part...just trying to figure out why this happens or better yet how to combat...ie I threw away all chocolate in the house lol.
I'm not sure about getting the munchies, but I sure do get thirsty more often and see myself going to the bathroom due to drinking more fluids. Does anyone else feel that way?
The only thing I could think of is maybe the cigarettes suppressed your appetite for awhile, then quitting and switching has allowed your appetite to return to normal?
If you are getting less nicotine from vaping than you did from smoking, it’s possible that your appetite will be increased due to a small amount of nicotine withdraw. There are also other chemicals in cigarettes which your body is withdrawing from which could affect appetite. More than likely your appetite should be back to normal in a couple of weeks.
Taste buds are coming back from being burnt for how many ever years we smoked analogs. Sense of smell is better too, and that enhances taste as well. That's it for me.
I have to agree with the taste and smell coming back. Food tastes so much different to me now. Some better some worse. All I know is that I can actually go for a walk now and not feel like I'm going to pass out the first ten minutes. What a trade off! I can enjoy food and also exercise to burn it off! Ain't life grand!
I've been told that after quitting smoking your taste buds begin to revive and your sense of taste becomes sharpened again therefore making flavors more flavorful and enjoyable. Seems logical that if eating is more enjoyable then eating would also be more frequent.
I had the same issue, but joining to gym today in fact
Its a very common thing to pick up a couple of pounds after quitting, the most important thing is to take note of it and change your lifestyle accordingly. Don't do crash diets and don't starve yourself! Seeing that you took the leap to quit smoking, maybe now is the time to bump up the excersize too!
