Hi Gang!!!.

Maybe this has been posted many times before. No time to check. So sorry.

I lost my iPod in the tub. 160Gb. Hard to find in the bubbles.
Got it out and was still playing. Not now. In rice and praying.
I was on the phone with a super gossip. Worth the iPod and More.

I have (had) 17,000 plus songs in it. A friend of mine has 'em too.
And a trick to transfer 'em. Gotta take good care of friend now.

Anyway, it's always about me, me, me. I'm an only child from a mature marriage.
You will have to excuse my self centered egotism.

What you like? The hard part is to reduce it to only 3 per.

My choices:

Groups: Chicago, CCR, Stones.
Female: Houston, Dion, Streisand.
Male: Elvis.Seager, Marley.

I could add: Buffet, Stefan, Aguilera and both Iglesias, but I won't. That'll be cheating.

What's your music pleasure?

Be safe and Happy!!! Carlos.

It's hard for me to pinpoint which bands I like the most because there's so many. I'm from NY, and there have been so many shows come though here. I was lucky enough to have friends at the nyc venues in my early 20s, so I got a lot of vip passes, heard about basement shows, met a ton of people and saw a lot of shows I couldn't have otherwise. I've always liked grunge and post hardcore. Growing up in the 90s, grunge obviously was my go to genre. But I also got to see taking back sunday play shows at the downtown back before they were anywhere near famous. I saw quicksand in my friends basement, Thursday, thrice, Deftones, rival schools, etc.. Anyways, music is great. It's gotten a little stale lately.. Metal isn't metal, hard rock is pretty soft... I dunno.. Maybe it's just me, but it all just sounds the same. The neighbourhood's recent album was really good, I like that dirty pop sound. So yeah. I can't name 3 of anything that I like.. Music isn't a list subject, unless you leave out everything else.

I love that you had Queensryche in there. Geoff Tate is easily one of my favorite vocalist with Miljenko Matijevic of Steelheart. Which Queensryche though since there is now technically 2. Geoff Tate Queensryche or Todd La Torre Queensryche? I have met Geoff Tate 3 times and seen his new version but have yet Todd La Torre Queensryche in concert yet. I guess I will finally get to see them in May at Carolina Rebellion

200+ views and nobody likes music?. I bet your iPods don't work either, KIDDING!!! I hope they do.

Carlos.

It's not that I don't like music; I love it. I don't own an iPod, but my computer currently has a collection of 200 artists and over 12,000 tracks on it. I have something like 500 CD's as well, and not a lot of overlap with the music on my computer. I listen to a lot of different styles of music, from all over the world and from every era in the history of recording. I'm also a composer and musician, and play about a dozen instruments; so I not only listen to other people's music, but create my own. Also, I tend to listen to things in clumps; like for weeks I'll listen to nothing but classical music from Northern India, Japanese shakuhachi solos, movie soundtracks, or early electronic music. Sometimes I'll go for long periods listening only to songs in languages I don't speak, like Qawwali from Pakistan, Tibetan monks, Tuvan Khoomei, or Algerian Raï. All of this means it's nearly impossible to narrow down a short list of a few favorite artists, as I have new 'favorites' every few weeks. I think that may be why there's not been many replies to your poll, as more and more people are able to access a whole world of recordings through the internet, and are no longer stuck listening to the same handful of popular bands played in heavy rotation on their local radio station, or even a single genre. Which I believe is a very good thing. It used to be that the music business hammered everyone into little boxes in order to make a more predictable market share, listening to and buying only the tiny sliver of things they were allowed access to. Thankfully, that era has come to a crashing halt, and people everywhere are discovering the joys of music they never heard before or ever even knew existed.

If you ever go to a Queensryche concert you can buy the meet and greet passes for $35 to meet the band and take pictures and autographs. I paid $750 to meet Def Leppard and refused to let Vivian Campbell sign my Hysteria record because he didn't play on it lol He gave me a stank eye lol.

As far as Dave or Sammy that is tough for me. Most of the Van Halen hits came with Dave. I liked Daves enthusiastic vocals even though sometimes it is a bit of a annoyance. He is more of a showman and has better stage presence then Hagar. I like Sammy though too. He brought some edginess to the band but I think Eddie was past his prime at that point as well. I think Sammy is a better song writer and can actually play a instrument and has had a better solo career and was great with Montrose and Chickenfoot as well. Besides, Hagar had his own Tequila lol. I like both really they each brought something different to the band. Dave with VH sold more records then Sammy with VH. Now that a Van Halen reunion with David Lee Roth has taken place, I think it’s also time for a Hagar Era reunion. There would be a huge demand to hear Hagar sing those songs again. For me, the Roth reunion was lacking because I missed the Hagar Era songs and also because of the exclusion of Michael Anthony on bass since Anthony has an allegiance to Sammy. I guess if I have to chose it would be Sammy. I just think he is a better singer. I have heard Sammy sing Hot For Teacher but do you think Dave could sing Right Now?

I guess I'm alone here!

You could be haha I am not a Country fan or should I say Country Pop. I think todays Country sounds more like Pop then anything. I think the Country of old is much better. Like some old Hank Williams, Alabama, Conway Twitty etc. I will say that I get told a lot that I look like Jason Aldean which annoys me some. Everytime I go out I get the excuse me but has anybody ever told you that you look like Jason Aldean.
