mvp 2 price

I had an MVP2 about a year ago. Don't do it. If I could pick ANY ONE device that has an internal battery, I would pick the eleaf iStick.

The eleaf iStick is a MUCH smaller device, almost the same capacity battery, and goes up to 20W of power output. It honestly blows my mind. It also doesn't require a "ramp up" like the MVP does. With the MVP, it takes a few seconds for it to reach whatever output you set it to. The eleaf iStick is (more or less, I didn't do any scientific testing) instant power to atomizer.

They were $35 on the manufacturer's website, but now $45. I don't think they expected it to do so well. It is DEFINITELY taking over the market as a new starter item because of its less expensive cost and GREAT features. Shops in my area sell them for about $60. I'd take that any day over an MVP.

The istick has the better specs but an mvp 2 is a solid device considering its price point. I still carry one to work daily because I can't seem to break it when it hits the ground. And in the event it does break, no big loss and cheap to replace.

That being said, I'm not sure if I'd have bought an mvp had the istick been out at the time. It would have been a hard decision with the specs of the istick vs the form factor and aesthetic of the mvp.

The MVP...The iStick has an imbalance of power below 4.2v. There is a review by Phil Busardo on YouTube (thumbs down). The MVP is also solidly made. Do some research for yourself.

The MVP3 is supposed to be out for Christmas sales...

To be fair Phil Busardo does say the only reason he's giving it an overall thumbs down is to make the manufacturer switch from mean to RMS to calculate the regulation correctly in future models.

Apart from that, the iStick got a very strong review.

But as you said, research is always good. Actually a good place to start is with the previously mentioned Phil Busardo's channel on youtube. He posts some of the most in-depth reviews you can find out there. I posted the MVP2 from his channel below. As for price, $35-40 seems to be the norm right now, while you can get the iStick for $25-35.

I have two mvp2's and an istick... yup the istick wins. Can't wait for the mvp3 to come out though!

As you can see the istick is about half the size of an mvp2

My Istick got demoted to backup after a month. It starts out too hot when freshly charged, and even when the battery level is lower it still likes to pop in an occasional scorched draw. If you check the http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/variable-voltage-apv-discussion/601111-eleaf-istick.html thread in the APV Variable Voltage sub-forum you'll see quite a few people having issues with them.

The MVP isn't perfect, but it is consistently good. It does have 510 center post issues, but they're easier to fix than the Istick's same problem. The firing button is firm - too firm for some of us. And of course if you actually do need more than 11 watts then that's an issue.
