The switch on the bottom is for charging power output on the bottom. Flip it to off then press the fire button three times quickly, you should get a little light show and be good to go.

Ok, well I've tried that. Nothing. No light show.

Shouldn't some light come on while I'm charging? I have no response from the device whatever.

No light when it's plugged in means it's fully charged. If it's plugged in it acts a little differently, I believe it is on or off depending on what it was when plugged in or at least the lights don't flash for on and off.

If you have it plugged in and are having issues, unplug it and see if three clicks turns it on. You can then plug it in if you want and use it but you really don't need if it is fully charged.

Thanks for taking the time to respond to me but that isn't working either. Perhaps I just have a defective device? The vv controls aren't lighting up, no power button light, nothing??

Just received my blue iTaste MVP yesterday and really like it.

A couple of things that really would have made this devise much better:
Drop the puff counter!
Add an ohm indicator!
Move the power button to the top of the device (I realize this is a matter of personal choice, but it's somewhat difficult to reach the power button, doesn't really fall right where my thumb/fingers naturally land when holding the MVP)
Allow the volts to cycle, going from 5.0v to 3.0v when pressing the +, and same in reverse
Allow full range (3.0v-6v)

Overall, none of these are deal breakers, but it's kind of a bummer. I REALLY like this device, it's reasonably priced... I can't imagine any of these changes would have added much to the overall cost!

On the positive side:
GREAT battery life! Disneyland... here I come!
Love the look
Solid, quality build
The ability to act as a power source is a gimmick, but a very useful one! It's also much appreciated!
Nice recessed button, that won't accidentally fire in your pocket. It's also clicky, which I like!

Overall, for the price, this is one heck of a great PV!
