If it's rated down to 0.2 ohm, why go below that, even if it appears to work? The manufacturer put that minimum there for a reason, probably because they're aware of the safe range for the components to be operated. You are likely overdriveing mod and can potentially cause damage to it. Damage to you? Who knows, but it's your face, not mine.

Welcome @Buffetmasterj and I hope you enjoy your stay!

Making sure you don't do something brainless is a good start! Mind if I ask if you bought a starter kit and where did you get the coil that reads .2Ω? It does state .2Ω minimum on the specifications! So using one that is below isn't recommended in my opinion.

You're lucky? that it's firing...I'm surprised you didn't get a low resistance error. You're over-driving the regulator circuitry and may cause premature failure. I'm guessing the coil you're using may be ohming out slightly higher than .15 even though it is stating .15, and I would suggest you replace it with a .2

Is it safe to use a .15 coil on an mvp pro 3. The mvp is rated at .2 minimum, however it fires the .15 coil. I just want to make sure it won't explode
Welcome and glad you joined. Safe, probably not but would ask the manufacturer by email if possible.
