New to the forum and would like to see if anyone has the same issue with the MVP and a solution.

The threads in the 510 connector are stripped near the top. Only my kayfun Lite will screw in firmly but somewhat lopsided.
It is making proper contact as the MVP fires the kayfun.
However coils built around 1.5 are only reading .08 on the MVP.
The wattage setting seems to firing normally, but higher wattage settings like 10-11 dont seem as hot as they used to.
I did have a nice spill accident recently too, and some liquid did get into the the 510 connection area. Dont know if any actually seeped into the box.

Wondering if the box can be opened without breaking solder points to have a look.
Anyone have this happening?
.

I never had this happen to my MVP. The MVP can be opened, although I've never had the need to. This is what it looks like:

The "bag" that you see is actually the Lipo battery. The green circuit board is to the right.

its probbably just the 510 connection, as you mention is "The threads in the 510 connector are stripped near the top. Only my Kayfun Lite will screw in firmly"

its not making the best connection it can, thats why the ohms reading is off, and same with 10-11W experiance.

i hear ALOT of people refering to ego to ego adapters to fix bad 510 threads, but i have no clue as to where they are sold.

The 510 threads on the MVP are it's weak link. The adapter mentioned will not allow for beauty ring use which means the Kayfun will not be properly supported. My Kayfun wrecked my MVP 510 threads as well. I'm going to mod my MVP and install a stainless steel flush mount 510 connector that has an adjustable positive pin.

Where have you seen this connector at?
