I just got my MVP2 less than ONE week ago, and so far I was LOVING it. I've been using the iclear30, kanger pro tank 1 and 2, and a few diff carto tanks on it.

Just now, I tried to take my iclear30 off, and it WONT COME OFF. It isn't stuck in place....it is moving in a circle as I turn it, but it WONT COME OFF.

Under neath the iclear, I have the little bridge or whatever that came with the MVP2 on.

I try to make sure I NEVER over tighten anything, but the iclear has been having problems hitting, so I might have had to screw it on tighter.

So, I've had my ego twist batteries for 7 months now, and never stripped the threading. Is the threading stripped on the MVP2?

What am I supposed to do, toss it? Anyone have any advice?

When you twist the iclear does every single part of the tank/heads twist with it?

I.E. when you twist the tank do the wicks/stem also follow the tank or do they stay in the same place?

From what i can see the 510 connector/stem on the iclear is press-fit into the tank base, if that press fit has failed/come loose the tank (not the internals) could turn while the connector stays tight in the connection.

Take the tank part completely off of the stem/head assembly and grab ahold of the metal stem (below replaceable head) and see if you can screw it out.

THANK YOU!

My MVP2 isn't damaged! I'm still not completely sure what went wrong.....but it appears that perhaps only the bottom part of the iclear30 was turning, and the rest wasn't? Not sure how that is possible, because I had 3mL of e-liquid in there, so I would have figured if only the bottom was turning, the eliquid would have begun to leak out?

Either way, I did what you said, I unscrewed the iClear30 off, piece by piece, and the bottom piece came off with ease. Then I took off the bridge part that came with the mvp2, and then cleaned off all the threads and put the iclear30 back on, MINUS the bridge part.

I tried to check the threads with a flashlight and look to see if they are stripped or damaged - and from what I could see, they look fine. I'll have to take a better look later on under better light, but I think everything is okay!

Thanks again!

Well, I just had the problem again with the iclear....AND, for some reason, the iclear won't fire or read ohms while connected to the MVP.

From now on, I just won't use the iclear OR evods BCCs (those don't fire/read on my mvp either) with the MVP. Not sure what the problem is....but fortunately the MVP has no problem with my cartos, or pro tanks.

I just want to say how kind you are.
Thank you for always helping.
I learn a lot from you.
Best regards,

Sounds like the 510 connector on the MVP is slightly low, its entirely possible the wonky iclear could have pushed it down a bit at some point.

The only likely option to make the iclear work (i'd probably pitch it, theyre relatively cheap) is to do the "connector lift" similar to what you have to do with Egos occasionally. Basically take a small pick/screwdriver and gently work around/lift the 510 connector on the MVP ever so slightly.

If you don't care about making the iclear work, then you can likely make the EVODS work (or anything with a PT head), by tweaking your heads.

Remove the head from the EVOD base, and using a fingernail, gently work the connector pin out of the rubber grommet (taking care not to unseat it) a mm or so.

You've now essentially extended the contact pin on the head/EVOD, so now when you attach it to the MVP it should adjust itself (likely push in) to the appropriate place, and the EVOD should fire properly.

Wow, thank you for making my day!

I do my best to help where/when i can, it pains my heart to see fellow vapers struggle with their equipment.

I just want to see everyone have a chance to succeed with vaping and hope that we can all work together to convert/save/keep as many people off the death sticks as possible.

Thanks again for your kind words! :vapor:
