That would be a big old NO.
He lives in my neck of the woods and every once in a while, some college newspaper talks him into doing and interview and he always says the same thing... Calvin and Hobbes are done. For good.
Several papers screwed him over and he got fed up with it. He says he will never do another comic strip again. Especially not Calvin and Hobbes.
Geez, sometimes I really dislike publishers and editors who take advantage of talent, then ruin it for all of us. Well, at least I still have some of his collections around.

Exactly why he panned it. You noticed in the later years how his strips were not the same layout as the rest... he did that to stick it to those papers that stuck it to him. Papers started editing his layout, fans got miffed, papers had to run them as submitted. Glorious!
A few Christmases ago, I was gifted his collected works in three volume hardcover. The Complete Calvin & Hobbes. Every page is printed on art house quality paper. the strips jump out. Damn thing weighs a good 60 plus pounds. It is my pride and joy. I have made sure my kids know C&H... but they are only allowed to handle the low quality paperbacks!
One final note, from me... Jeff Mallett, the creator of Frazz often credits Watterson as his inspiration. If you are familiar with Frazz, you can really see the influence, in both artwork, and writing. I can't tell you how many times I could swear Jeff Mallett IS Bill Watterson and Frazz IS Calvin... grown up.
Wow, that looks like something I want. Now I need to cut back on my vaping buying, and save up for that treasure. Thanks!

It is pretty Rad! I love it. You guys got me wanting to pull it out. So pretty to look at, and kind of humbling to hold.
I just saw the collection on ebay for about $70. That's $30 less than Barnes and Noble. I put it in my wish list. It says more than 10 available. Now I hope no one picks that up before the beginning of next year!
