So the heat goes out sometime last night. In WI. not a good thing. Froze my ... off this morning. And can I just say..........I think it extremely unfair what they charge just because you are in a tough situation. And may I ask, why it never ends? Seriously, I am getting pretty tired of it. Can't ever put any money aside for anything "fun" cause POOF.......it's gone.
On a side note, I grabbed my PV and am very happy I didn't stick my tongue to it. (not that I normally do) It probably would have stuck to the COLD metal. YOWSA

Hear ya about the savin money, I think it's the old axiom...those with money keep it and those without don't! Every time I save a little something comes up or breaks!

I hear ya. I live in a rural location where there's only one option for phone/internet (aside from satellite I suppose) and so I'm paying an arm and a leg for hit or miss DSL. Our "mountain" isn't wired for cable, though when we built the house 25 years ago we allowed for it in the off chance there'd be technological advances in this area. And there's only one option for electric company, but ironically in my same town about 2 miles down the road there's fields and fields of solar panels benefiting a different power company. My town is "the solar capital" of my state, and yet I don't benefit from such. And then there's the issue of no more broadcast TV, since there's no digital reception in my neck of the woods. And we pay some of the highest property taxes in the state and now I see pretty much in the country and blah blah blah. And no one wants to move here. It's so expensive and just difficult to live here, there's nothing here, but it's also so difficult to leave. Sometimes I love it, sorta, but many times I hate it. Ok I'm stopping rambling. I am very thankful for MVS's generous gift I'll be getting in the mail, and thankful for all the kind people on this site who make chilly cold days bright and sunny.
Yep. Wind. Freezing rain. They are just a few miles from us but got more than we did.
We were both lucky and didn't get any snow................yet.

Wow, I missed all of you guys and gals! I lost internets for a few days, and then had to leave town for a few more, and the whole time I was wishing I was here posting on the MVS thread and catching up with all my ECF chat buddies!
You all are great, I'm so lucky to have ran into you, thanks for being you & keep it up!
