we just found our ten year old Dell laptop and are about to donate it with the next charity pickup...not sure if they want old pc's though lol.

It is (generally) an appliance that they install, so they get reports at whatever level of detail they want, whenever they want them. Doesn't matter what time the access was.

don't forget keyloggers .. and activity loggers at that

That has varying levels of legality in different states. Grabbing data off the company network in flight is completely OK.

(Can you guess that this is part of what I do for a living? )

Been one hectic day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Neighbors had to make an emergency run out of state. Grandmother is not expected to make it much longer. We are hoping they make it in time.
The group I do stuff with found someone to watch the kids. Then we started setting things up for the meals for the visitation and funeral. It will be here since grandparent lived here until a few years ago.

It is sad.

And not too much forum time.

just teasing. I am pretty sure they have programs that guarantee everything is off. Cannot remember the name though.

I wouldn't trust anyone to wipe it unless I was watching them shred it. (Largely because most places don't.. Just the windows licensing/media becomes a nightmare, much less the time and effort it takes to get it reinstalled, drivers working, etc.. There are stories all the time about even major manufacturers sending refurb/warranty parts out with data on them from the last customer..)
