My best guess is he was sitting on the couch one day when his nads spontaneously turned to steel and he thought, "time to jump out of a spaceship"
Technology!!!
It's been a week since I was last here! ....For shame!!!!
Whazzup Aflo?
Guys like cats, too. I've had all kinds of animals through my life, but cats have been my favorite. Well, except for a baby squirrel I saved in New Orleans from Hurricane Andrew. I was helping a friend tape the windows, and I saw it when I arrived at the house, stuck to the bricks. It was motionless, so I thought it was some kind of ornament.
We started taping on the back of the house, and as we came around front, I saw it was still there, stuck to the bricks. As I got close to those windows, I could tell that it was a real squirrel. I got a broom and tried to lure it down with the handle, thinking it might crawl down. It fell into the crowded ground-system of a bush (don't know how to word that better). I was actually a little scared that it might bite me, but I worked it out of that "entrapment" and tried to shoo it away. It didn't move. Si I carefully picked it up again and pet it, set it free in a better place, then went back to work. We finishing the job, but the squirrel was still where I put it down. So when I evacuated, I took it with me. I realized later that it had been attacked by her cat, and 1.25 inches of its tail had been bitten off, but the bleeding had stopped. This is why it never moved... it was petrified with fear.
I evacuated to Alexandria (where I live now), to my mother's house. The squirrel didn't budge the whole trip, or the next day. I took it to a Vet who said it was the healthiest squirrel she'd ever seen. I asked what to feed it, bought that, and took it home. When I finally got him to eat with a dropper through his lips, he came to life, after realizing that I wasn't going to hurt him. He was my best friend after that, and went everywhere with me. Sometimes, other people could pet him, but other times, he'd dart all around my body, and up and down my legs, on my clothes to keep away, but he never once tried to run away from me. At home, he had the run of the living room, but stayed in a bird cage at night, with his food and water. We'd play a lot, and he was so much fun. I'd sit on the bed with him in the palm of my hand. Somehow, he'd dart around from my palm, under my hand, back up the other side, and sit there in my palm again, kinda grinning at me, proud of himself.
He was so funny, I called him a Nut Case, and with it having been Hurricane Andrew, I named him Andy Nut Case. I miss that little guy. He was so smart. He stayed in the bird cage at night because I also had three kittens I found outside my door while it was raining one night, and believe it or not, I trained them not to bother him. They could be curious, and play, but no attacking. I think it helped that they were very young kittens. But I didn't trust the cats at night, unsupervised. This was back in 1992.
However, a Box full of Kittens?... No Sir. A Crazy Cat Lady can have that many.No Offense Cat Ladies.
But the one young female I have now is enough at this time.
The cat I have now might be the smartest one I've ever had.
The smallest one is a silky dark chocolate half-Siamese 'Ruperect'. She can do three tricks like a dog. Shes so smart. Her mom was smart too, she wasnt trained but she knew how to turn the lights on, and tried to work our door knobs! She was either stolen or murdered.
My best friends dad had that very same experience when he was a kid in the early 60's. But this squirrel learned to "tunnel" its way from head to foot on the guy, -through his clothes!!!! He didn't mind the claws. I guess the thing was just that cute!

{{{VG}}} Thanks darlin! But I'm getting a job because my DH won't be my DH much longer. So how 'bout we do it on a weekend when he has the kids, no babysitter needed?Good Luck to all of the Job Hunters. I know how tough it is.
Best of luck to you, Thren, my Margarita Lady. If I could, after you get hired, and you will be, I'd have a table set up on the roof, under the stars, for You, your DH, your Friends, and a Babysitter for the boys. Oh, and of course, batches of Strawberry Margaritas in a Frozen Daiquiri machine, made to order, No Salt. But I'd have to ask... Rum or Tequila? Better make it a Friday Night or Weekend event, so you'll be fresh for Monday morning.
Good Luck again, to you, and all job seekers.

So now I need Tickets to Wild Wonderful WV. Should I get Round Trip?![]()
Not to be "assuming" or anything. I just figured I'd need to be certain to get a really good Frozen Daiquiri machine, and just the right Tequila.
