Hot hot hot in Long Beach today. Extended forcast, hot hot hot. I miss my central a/c.

And it's gonna be even hotter today!!
But then it's usually about 10 degrees hotter down in LB than it is here, and it's already 74 @ 9:30am...

Man! I guess it's hot everywhere! This has been an evil August. Fires, floods, dust-storms, and oppressive heat! Here in KC, it's gonna cool down to the mid to upper 80's next week. ...Better than it is now I guess.

But at least it's freaken Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds just like here in SoCal lately... except for the dust storms... We had a nice ocean breeze here yesterday, but not today!!

With "evil August" I was covering the whole country. All we are missing is earthquakes, hurricanes, and blizzards and we'd have a virtual Armageddon! - SoCal I know! It's not been a good year. ...Well, fires have been less then I remember but I could be wrong. (now it's Sanfran thats burning!)
Oh how I dream of your ocean breezes! Takes me back, to my visits to Huntington Beach.

Patutie! I dont think I've seen that word written before. Well done sir! That was a popular word here in The Show ME State. Heard it all the time while growing up. --- But I hear ya man, it's deadly hot out right now. It's literally raining cicadas from the trees, like one every few minutes. It could be normal or it could be the heat.

I hope everyone is drinking water, and trying to stay cool.

It sure was! I didn't have any A/C either and being hot especially sucks when sick. I couldn't feel the heat much this morning, but my fever conveniently decided to break in the early afternoon. Sweaty day...lol wow MrsCasey- I just noticed the extended forecast part of your post. Selective reading I guess because I did not want to hear that! Lol

Oh my goodness you're sick too!? That's the worst time to have high temps, you must be miserable. It's a little cooler today so far, thank goodness. I hope you feel better soon.

Yea, wasn't sure how to spell it but heard it growing up all the time here.

Just googled and it is patootie.

It's 92 here now but the real feel is only 2 degrees higher. Not too bad compared to yesterday. Hope that ocean breeze starts blowing for you SK.

We actually got to see the sun set today.
Lately it's been disappearing in the smoke from the rim fire by Yosemite while it was still 25* to 35* from the horizon.
I can't wait until they get the fire out.
I quit smoking cigarettes 4 1/2 months ago now I vape & smoke pine trees.
