Technically the vacation time started at 430 pm today when I clocked out. But the cruise part of it isn't until Sunday.

I should be ... but I haven't started yet. Need to do some ironing. All my nice shirts are clean and hanging in the closet, but I generally only iron on an as needed basis. I guess I'm old fashioned, but I still believe that when going to dinner in a nicer restaurant (main dining rooms on ships count) one should be presentable. At least nice slacks and a button down. So just need to iron up some shirts. And run the suit through a dryel cycle, since I always do the dress up night.
Heh, cruises are fun, but always require at least 2 outfits a day for me. Shorts and tshirts are dress of the day, and slacks/button down for evening. Took 2 suitcases for my first 7n cruise.
For a 4n I can get away with one larger valet style case at least.

Don't get me wrong, at this point I am a true Floridian and until it gets chilly, I'm in shorts and flip flops *a lot*. But I do enjoy the idea of looking sharp at times. Heck, I'm even so outdated that I wear watches all the time.

I still wear one...not as much but there are times that I want the time on my wrist!

I think summer is right. The watch, I can leave the house without, but not the cell phone. I don't even use it that much but if I want to make a call and I don't have it, it's 8-o!
same here dont really ever use my cell but its nice to have it when im out and about!
If you think of the evolution of the cell phone it is rather amazing. Not just everything they do now but also.........how did people ever survive before they were invented?
When I had a real job I had to carry one and yes, couldn't get away from anyone. Annoyed the crap out of me. Now I hardly ever carry one.

I got a Trackfone and don't give out the number except to those who really need to have it.
I carry it for me. DH has one two. Neither one of us want people calling to chat while we are out.
We still have a home phone and that is what it is for.
