This little puppy is all man-vape! It took alotta cussing, one burned finger and a coupla days to get together. There were 2 switch fatalities and one MOSFET perished for the cause. I'm blind in one eye, so lack of depth perception is hard to overcome when soldering and tucking things into tiny places. I got her did tho, and she hasn't left my hand for more than the time I sleep (I fell asleep with her in my hand one night already lol). I know alotta modders have built much more technically advanced equipment (of which I drool over slightly), but for me this is a first, and I'm quite proud! I just wanted to show this thing off. I hope y'all like it.

I bought the tactile switch from madvapes : Tactile Switch with Round actuator, 300g.

IRL3103 from digikey : Digi-Key - IRL3103PBF-ND (Manufacturer - IRL3103PBF)

Flashlight from Dealextreme : $15.60 - UniqueFire A10-B Cree Q5 WC 5-Mode 240-Lumen White LED Flashlight with Strap (1*18650) - 18650 Cree Flashlights

18650 3000mAh batteries from Dealextreme : $13.10 - SpiderFire Protected 18650 3.7V 3000mAh Batteries (Pair) - Batteries

I snagged a white LED from a 3AAA flashlight to indicate when the master clicky-switch is on and the momentary switch is pushed. It's ground down flat with the 5mm holder for ergonomics and I affixed a smoke-colored bubble decal that fit just right to soften that bright little LED. It's still bright, but with my placement 180* from the switch, I can cover it with my index while I push the tactile with my thumb, or uncover it and burn your retinas haha.

I used a connector from a damaged Riva, so, yes, I haz a cone on there, too! :)

I made a cap where the lens was for the connector from a miscellaneous piece of black plastic I found in a drawer.

Here's pics...

Tactile is near my index finger

I like that flashlight housing, I have wanted to use that one just havent gotten to it. Nice job

There's a polished SS flashlight on DX that I'm eyeballing, but drilling will be hard on SS+rounded surface. I gotta source a drill press and some carbide/titanium bits before taking on that project. I have some 10440 flashlights with pocket clip on the way with batteries and charger for smaller 3.7 flashlight mods tho. Stealth vaping + pocket-ability! ;)

This housing was tricky because the positive battery connection is assembled in a threaded ground that screws into the head behind the reflector/lens. It made it necessary to either affix the connector plate outside or work all the circuit into a spacer tube and assemble the entire mod and then screw it all in. I went with neatly gluing it to the front of the flashlight housing to be able to stuff evrything in behind the LED and tactile switch. It was the only way this set-up would go in.

FYI for all modders a toilet paper roll holder (the springy type) works well to make a hollow spacer for the distance from the lens and PCB to be able to scrap the reflector in flashlights.

Now, what do I do with the CREE emitter? I'm thinking to include it in a boxmod for dual function as PV/flashlight lol. We'll see...
