my 401 passthrough just died..maybe..

I was wondering if somebody here can help me out.

My PT for my M401 just died. I got it to work a couple of times but that was about it. It actually still blinks when I connect it to a power source but I can't seem to get it to work when I suck on the mouthpiece with atty attached. I tried wiping down both ends, atty and connection with alcohol but still nothing. BTW, it is a PT without an in-line battery.

Can this be repaired? Or should I just throw it in the pile of the dead parts I've accumulated?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Probably has a broken wire inside the insulation. They tend to break where they enter the 'ash' lens. If the Chinese manufactures could just stop using such a tiny wire, we wouldn't have this problem as much.

The funny thing is, it still blinks when it is connected to the power source. I am thinking that the little wire maybe snapped where it is connected to the atty. Any thoughts?

I mainly use the Elixir. I'm so pleased with it I ordered more last week. Today though, the batteries are acting up. One, the LED lights up for no reason and stays on. I got two, and they both are no longer holding a charge like they use to.
They aren't a month old yet and shouldn't be doing this.
Anyone else have the same problem.
