So of course I tried searching for a post with similar problems but didn't find a good answer, so here it goes...

I currently own 65mm batts from both smokelessimage and bloog. In addition I purchased an iGo mostly for when I'm around the house. Even though they're all kr808D-1 threads not all of my cartomizers seem to be interchangeable.

Case in point, 9.99/10 of my bloog and nHaler cartos fit on both brands of 65mm and the iGo.
CoolCarts that V4L sent as a freebie (2 of them) fit on the 65mms but not on the iGo.
Ce2 xl fluxomizers fit on the 65mm but not on the iGo (at least not the three i've opened)

This has nothing to do with the center post on any of them. the cartos will not screw down far enough to even make a connection (you can see the air holes on the batt.) so even if I were to have the center post ridiculously pulled out i don't think this would work.

I've seen suggestions for working the threads back and forth, taking a file to the batt threads or carto threads, but that just worries me that then some will fit "loosely"

anyone else have this problem? solutions? suggestions?

i guess the quick fix is: oh well, just use what fits with what works.

thanks in advance ECFers. :p

I have the same issue with my metal ce2's and my 510 battery -> 808 carto. It will not thread all the way down on the adapter.
If I use the same carto on either 808 battery I have, no issues.

What I have been doing is pulling the center pin down on them before putting it on the adapter so it makes a connection. You still see the air holes but it works, and you really don't have to pull it down very far either. Just a little and it works.

I have that prob with all Boge 808 cartos i try, its a hit n miss... so annoing.. Their cartos are never consistant in neither TH, wicking or thread connection. I didnt wanna sand down my batt threads, so just throw them away. Kanger cartos fit every time.. Tried ce2's and again, inconsistant crap.. Not suprised fluxers are too..

Thanks very much for the advice folks. I guess I'll try the sandpaper then. Only question would be what grit? Are we talking 50 or more like 120 (would higher even do anything?) Guess I just needed the reassurance that sanding/filing the batt threads wasn't a dumb thing to do!

Morandir835... it's Sir SwampCollege. hope that doesn't mean you would have given me a better answer. just jokin.

Just take it very easy, sand a bit, then clean the thread and check it on a cart. Rinse and repeat until it fits.
