Hi all,
Just got my first e-cig today, and thought i'd give my account of how it went. It's a Super (RN4081) starter kit, direct from TECC.
On opening the box, first thing i did was clean the atomizer, which after looking in these forums seems the generally recommended thing to do. I rinsed it for about a minute under SCALDING hot water, blew it out, gave it a good rinsing with Isopropyl Alcohol, followed by another minute of not so hot water. Put it all together, stuck a High cartridge on (well I thought hey it can't get any stronger than this!), a few draws, and hey presto, it workedd fine! Got a surprisingly good throat hit from it too, wasn't expecting it to be that good! Not bad tasting either, slightly sweet, but certainly not the 'burnt'or plastic type foul tastes some have described, but then it seemed they all got their devices from a certain other company.
So, all in all not a bad first vape at all, i'm pleased! It's on charge now, better get some charge in it!

Couple of questions tho, if anyone experienced could answer-
1. Noticed a slight dribbling now and again coming from the join between the cart and the atty, is that just cos the cart is new and well soaked? Will it go after a while?
2. What do you guys do with the cart/atty end whilst charging a batt? For now I've just put it upright, in a zip-seal bag.

Cheers all, happy vaping!

Glad your first experience went well. I was fairly confused my first time, and it took a few hours to decide that I liked it.

The dribbling sound is normal. That's the liquid sloshing around & the atomizer acting. I don't think that's going to go away, but as the cart begins to dry it lessens.

Right now I have two batteries that I constantly swap with each-other, so the atty is never unattached from a battery.. but in the beginning I'd leave my cart/atty sitting around on my desk. No problems with that.

Geez... all I do when I get a new atty is blow out the primer fluid. You went through a lot with that new atty.

I don't know what you are referring to when you say "but certainly not the 'burnt'or plastic type foul tastes some have described, but then it seemed they all got their devices from a certain other company."

You seem to think your e-cig is immune to getting a burnt taste. Hang in there - it will come when you least expect it.

To answer your questions:
1. Noticed a slight dribbling now and again coming from the join between the cart and the atty, is that just cos the cart is new and well soaked? Will it go after a while?

Appears either your cart is too full of liquid or the cart is not fitting the atty right.

2. What do you guys do with the cart/atty end whilst charging a batt? For now I've just put it upright, in a zip-seal bag.

If you set the atty upright with the battery connection downward the liquid will leak through to the battery connection and cause all kinds of problems.

Either set the atty upright with the cart connection downward or set it horizontal while waiting for the battery to charge.

Good luck and enjoy!!

Sounds pretty good, actually. I don't think I get that many puffs out of my cart. I always try to make a conscious effort to top it off before it's totally dry but I just get to puffing away and end up forgetting about it (probably lasts 30 to 45 minutes of consistent vaping - depends on if I have a fresh battery or if I'm using my passthrough).

As for the burning taste, I have to agree mamu, you'll encounter that eventually. The reason you didn't get it from the primer/brand new atty is because you cleaned it out first. I normally hook it right up and start puffing away but, unfortunately, get that nasty taste from the primer - I may start cleaning it out first but I don't think I'm patient enough for that=)

I, too, get the dribbling but it doesn't come out on its own. Before I got used to how much to fill the cartridge or when I have a low battery, I get liquid from the mouthpiece. The juice that I get between the cart and atty is from when I reattach the cart and don't clean it off before putting it back. I always keep a paper towel handy to wipe everything down and blow through the cart mouthpiece (with the paper towel on the other side. The carts I have don't have a hole in the bottom of them, there are just side air holes). That's just me...maybe I'm doing something wrong.
