They sell this double sided wide tape to keep cats from scratching. You might want to sut that on the floor in front of the wall she's using. Also, theres a product called feliway that mellows them out. It's like aromatherapy for cats. You plug it in and its supposed to releive stress. I thought my mom was really reaching when she told me about it, didn't think the cat was stressed. I tried it anyway, and it actually worked. Its worth a shot.

get a python it will take care of the cat problem.. nah..

that is why i will not keep cats.. had one but i put a lot of effort into training it to use the toilet.. it just would not flush..

:lol::lol:Lab I really like you, I was going to recommend my dogs as a solution but a python is sooo much cooler.

What your cat is doing is scent marking. They sell a chemical that makes it stop marking there but they just move to another spot. Thats why dogs hike their leg on stuff to scent mark. I don't know if you can do anything but put her out. Read up on scent marking maybe something you can do. Our cat does it on the side of the garage.

cats are a pain to train and litter boxes are always missed.. have only been in one house that had cats that i could not smell them but they where trained to go outside.. nice animals but they are more outdoor animals.. dogs are a lot easier to train.. but would rather stick to reptiles and fish..

Haha she's 11 years old. She has a tendancy to spray against a certain part of the wall in one of our rooms.
I put aluminium foil against it and she stopped... but only briefly, she just moved along to a part without the damn foil.

I have 3 indoor cats..

Is it possible that your cat might have a bladder infection?

my cats always use the litter boxes, and ive only had one experience where floppsy decided to pee on the floor..but she had a bladder infection at the time..

vet gave her antibiotics and cleared her infection

floppsy went back to using the litter box..

maybe bcause my cats are fixed i dont have that spraying issue with them?

eta, good ole fashoin baking soda does wonders for cat urine smell, jmo

I sprinkled it on the hard wood floor in the litter box room where floppsy had peed, let the baking soda sit over nite, then swept it up

smell was gone

maybe u could sprinkle baking soda on the floor along the wall? or make a wash out of the baking soda and wipe the wall down?

just a idea..

hope things get better for you and kitty

Exactly, IMA...the baking soda solution is safer for where the animals are actually walking, but other things can be treated with the vinegar solution and wiped dry or let dry also.

My friends and my MIL who have cats have said that "...... problems" were either from:

1. A very old cat, even if they were not sick; or

2. A cat with a bladder infection or other illness.

I will have to find my pictures i took of this ..

At this small zoo by the tiger cage is a warning sign that tells ppl to stay away from the cage because the tiger will pee on you..

I guess warning that it will bite your arm off is not as effective as letting ppl know that they will get ...... on

I'm curious. Since you say she is 11 years old, is this a problem you have always had or did this just start recently?

Some of this, then steam clean. A cat will urinate in a home for several reasons. If she's unhappy with the cleanlyness of her litterbox, it's location or if she has had a change of food those could be causes. A spayed female is much less likely to mark. Is she fixed? Also I believe it's been mentioned but it could be a bladder infection. If it's something she's started doing recently and none of the above are relevant it might be a good idea to have her checked out.

Also, "Nature's Miracle" works well for removing cat pee smell.
