Have you heard of "Planned Pethood?" It's an organization in our area, not sure if they are other places too, but they do exactly as you describe -- they take cats (and dogs) that are scheduled for euthanization and spay/neuter/immunize them, then put them up for adoption, on their own nickel. If you already have a pet who needs to be fixed/immunized, they do that too, and charge only about $30 for the whole deal (as a donation -- they're a non-profit org). They even support "trap and fix" -- catch feral cats in your neighborhood, bring them in to be "serviced", gratis, and then re-release them in your own neighborhod -- because feral cats are one of the best public health resources ever, for controlling vermin -- our own cat is DEATH on snakes and rodents!

They're MINE! He can grab one of the egos if he wants some. With 7 toes on those paws....I guarantee he can figure out how to work it!
Also, I stayed home today, because nobody should work on their birthday.... And took these. I wish I had their lives!!

Our cat has taken to lying right in the middle of my husband's desk. I walked in there to talk to him earlier, when he was sitting there playing Freecell. After a few minutes conversation I said, Oh I love your new desk ornament!

Whodat, the picture of Pumpkin perfectly illustrates the principal that you can tell the temperature by the length of a sleeping cat. (Each kitty needs to be calibrated)
We've got 4 cats and now my wife is working on training them to use the toilet. Kind of funny watching them perched on the toilet seat.
Flushing for the is better than shoveling the boxes plus no dust. Win win best I can tell if they all take to it.
