I have an innokin itaste v3 with a dual coil clearomiser.

After a few weeks very hard use, I found I had to really suck hard to get any vapour to come out, so I changed the atomiser. This seemed to work at first, but after a days hard use, I found I was having the same problem; really had to suck hard.

I'm using it at about 7.25 watts, which according to the instructions is a bit on the high side, but as the voltage will not go below 3.3volts and the replacement coil is 1.5ohms, I can't get it any lower.

I'm thinking my technique might be wrong. I tend to suck for about five seconds, then blow it out slowly through my nose. But as I'm a bit of a chain vaper. I tend to take another suck about ten seconds later then another, and so on. Sometimes the top metal bit on the clearomiser can get a bit warm to the touch.

I'm gonna try and ease off a bit, but is this the problem? I thought at first that a warm atomiser would mean the nicotine would vapourise more efficiently, but am I burning out the coil or blocking the atomiser or something like that? I read in the inhalation technique that a long slow suck was the best way to get the nicotine into the vapour, but am I just over doing it a bit.

Don't want to waste any more atomisers! What is your advice?

Just a thought, but are you cleaning your atomizer every so often (I clean mine after approximately every 2 tanks full of use). I usually just take of the top and soak/rinse both parts in a bowl of water that is as hot as running out of the tap allows. Some people I have heard actually boil them for a minute or so but I think that would be too hot (just my opinion). I usually soak them until the water in the bowl loses its heat, then shake the excess water of the parts and let them air dry. This may help. My guess is that he is using iClear 16's, as I usually see them being sold with his mod as part of a kit but I could be wrong.

There could be a bunch of different things going on... But I think that it sounds like the juice your using... Do you know what the PG/VG mix of your juice is? You may want to rinse them out with warm water and dry them out. Depending on if you can take them apart. I have a Innokin SVD and it has iClear30 that does the same thing. The only way I found to get around the issue is either clean it, or try to pump up the wattage up to 8 to 8/5 to try to burn off any deposits. :vapor:

How are you liking the iClear 30's? I really like them! I just wish they had glass/pyrex tanks instead of the polycarb ones.

Just my opinion.

I dislike atomizers. IMO nothing will get the scaled on burnt gunk off short of a tiny man with a chisel.

I use slightly lo-res traditional cartomizers (like 2.5 ohm single coil on a 3.7 device) and I go through 2 per 2 weeks. I carry two models and vape both, each with one of those 2 cartomizers. I actually get 3-4 weeks out of one of them because I use a thin clear non-sweet juice in that one so it take it a lot longer to get gunked up. My cartomizers are good stuffing cartos that cost about $2.50 apiece.

You should be able to get longer use out of your atomizer with a non-sweet light transparent juice. The most gunky juices seem to be sweets and any non-transparent juice.
