Ok so the two batteries i have are

AW imr 18650 3.7V 2000mah(7.4wh)

and

efest imr 18650 3.7v LI-MN 2500mah 35A

My question- Are they both safe to sub OHM on?

Also is there some sort of cvhart out there telling which batteries are good at what OHMs?

I just build a duel coil .23 OHM on my magma but i just want to be sure its safe to use because its hitting like a champ but it is abit warm.
Just want to be safe and i know you guys here are very smart about this stuff =-)

AW IMR 18650 2000mAh. *NOT SAFE* for your build.

If you have a Purple EFest 35 amp. It is safe to run a 0.23ohm coil. Though it's still an EFest which aren't as safe as a Sony VTC4 or VTC5.

the 35 amp rating on those purple e fests is actually a pulse rating, and nobody really knows what "pulse" indicates as far as a measurement of time. Not advisable for really low sub ohm vaping.

thanks for the replys so far. ill go read that artical Griff! so i should order some sony vtc4 or 5s from online?

yes. Find some AUTHENTIC Sony's. With them being snatched up as soon as they get to the market there are a TON of fakes/rewraps out there.

I honestly don't know sorry. I've never looked to buy Sony VTCs, I only use AW IMRs as I don't sub-ohm and generally use Evolv regulated devices (Kicks in my mechanicals, or DNA devices). Perhaps someone here knows of a reputable store who stocks them.

Also Sony VTC5 is the latest version with the highest mAh rating and Amp limit.

wow just realized they are 100 bucks =-( Anything cheeper that is close to there safety?
$100 for a battery? Where are you looking?!?

Like another has said they're usually out of stock everywhere. I just noticed this:

LG 18650HE2 2500MAH 35AMP

At one of the stores K702 posted above. This should be a high quality battery as well, I'm sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong though.

Decent battery, but if I'm not mistaken, it is a 20A continuous as well...

26650 batteries are 26mm wide. they won't fit in a device meant for 18mm (18650) wide batteries. But yes MNKE are high quality batteries assuming you get the right sized one.

Battery number code:

AABBO (example 18650)

AA = Battery Diameter in millimeters
BB = Battery Length in millimeters
O = Battery Shape. 0 means, Round.

So 18650:
18mm in Diameter
65mm in Length
and 0, it's round.

(At least this was what I learned back when I started vaping).
