My brand new Vamo V5 is acting up

Like I said, it's a Vamo V5, efest batteries 2000 mah.

It it will fire even when the device is turned off! It will just continuously supply power to the coils and start to get warm. Needless to say I immediately took the batteries out and now I am without a device. Anyone have any ideas what is going on? I had it for less than a week!

Please help!!!!!!

If you did not drop it, return it.

Does the button still click?

Is the button physically stuck?

You can repeatedly click the button and see if it frees up and play around with it without the atty on it. Though I would have a hard time trusting it even if it did free up.

I have had a few Vision Spinners that did that when I first got them, they were very particular about where you applied pressure to the button. They all straightened out after a bit and I hadn't even thought about it till reading your post.

I have an authentic vamo that mostly works alright. I have had to replace the top cap once on it due to stipping the threads. I occasionally use it as an ohm meter to see if it matches the readings I get on my stand-alone ohm meter. But I don't really use tank-based devices anymore, so it isn't used for vaping.

Are you sure the fasttech is authentic? The Vamo isn't a horribly expensive device anyway, I'm not sure why you wouldn't have just bought it in the US.

Maybe its an excuse for an upgrade.

Haven't had a lick of trouble out of mine, and I dropped it then kicked it by accident too. Is that what they call putting a kicker on a mod :)

A KSD is not much more than a knock off, I bought a cheaper one off ali express and it works OK too.

None of that helps the guy who got a bad one, and most of us know how it feels to be that guy. I hear Slowtech is very good about returns, just have to wait.

Quality control has never been the backbone of the Vamo line, regardless who makes it.
Contact Customer service of FT and explain your issue. You have a warranty through them. You may have to pay shipping to Florida, but you will get that back from them in store credit.

So, an update from FT. I had to ship it to Florida (it arrived today) and now I wait for my package to arrive. I sure hope it is sent out now since it arrived in Miami and I don't have to wait till it is shipped to hong kong!
Good thing out of this is that I realized the package deal I bought (mod, batteries, charger, and tank) is unessasary for me as I have better things already to take their place. So I asked to switch my order to only the camp it's self and threw in a panzer mech and a drip tip to use up the rest of the funds. I can't wait!!

So, almost a month later and my new Vamo has arrived!!! This one is different though, it is still a vamo V5 but this one has features that are different from the other! This one actually has authentication marks on it, has a different battery cap, the button doesn't have all the play like the old one, and the screen is different! I'm loving this one so much more than the other!!

The screen on this shows my my power, battery level, and puffs at the same time which I thought was only a feature of the newer V7 or 8. This made me fall in love all over again. I must of received a clone the first time! But either way, I finally have it back, took friggin long enough though!

Oh, and the panzer STILL haven't been shipped! They keep telling me, wait one week, wait one week. I ask for a refund and they say it's been shipped but it clearly has not as the tracking number shows that only a shipping label has been created. At least I have my vamo though!!

How did you replace the top cap? I have one Vamo 5 that never worked. The vendor gave me another one & didn't want the broken one back. I have another Vamo 5 (the replacement) which I have stripped the 510 connection. So I do have a top cap with perfect threads, just don't know how to replace the top cap.
