I don't have alot of experience with carto tanks. I have this dual laser hole smoketech 1.25 ohm carto that keeps flooding. I have it snug in a tank using TV cherry cola (wonderful). The PG/VG ratio is 70/30. When I stop using the tank for a while then go back to it the carto is gurgley and liquid fills into the 510 connection. I blow the juice back through the male 510 threads and after a few hits it is nice. But every time I put it down when I come back it's the same problem. What is the problem? :glare:

I use 65pg/35vg all the time and never have a problem. Sounds like you may have flooded it right from the start. With the carto in the tank you can't clear the carto. When you blow it will just keep sucking juice in. If you have a syringe, remove the juice from the tank and then blow the excess out. You can even take a few drags without filling the tank to see if it's vaping OK. Then refill the tank. If it keeps flooding then you have a bad carto.

How are you setting it down? On its side? I would think it still shouldn't flood from being on its side but that is possible. You said it has 2 holes. Are they the little tiny holes like most smoktechs?

It may just be because there are 2 holes.. I use Boge laser drilled (one 2.5mm hole) cartos in both my J-Tanks, 5.5ml and 3.3ml, and they work terrific. I'm on my 2nd carto in my 5.5ml tank after 1 1/2 months and both have worked flawlessly.

You may want to try them.

i use 2.0 ohm dual coil carts in my DCTs and rarely have a flooding issue. when i've used 1.5 ohm lower resistance dual coil carts i have flooding issues most every time. it seems to me LR carts wick faster than the dual coils can vaporize. trying to compensate by increasing the voltage doesnt work - burnt taste. i should add, flooding doesnt usually occur on the first day using a LR cart. it usually starts on the second day. so my solution is simple - dont use LRs on a VV device.
