Even after the guy who works @ vape shop filled up the carto for me using condom method, the taste faded and started burning again.

I did top-off and put about 10 drops in the cartomizer and waited til it gets soaked. Still burning taste. I use 18mg Kustom RY4. The juiuce is kinda think and little dark orange color.

The cartomizer I use has 1 hole and standard resistent. And I use Pyrex DCT tank.
What am I doing wrong???? Is the juice too think to be used in carto tank? should I just pour the juice in vivi nova instead????

Gosh...this is like my 3rd carto I wasted in 2 days F#$!$%

According to the label, Kustom is a VG/PG blend. Should not be too thick for your carto. Plus if you are priming the carto it should not burn to start with, even if it is not getting a feed from the tank. The obvious suggestion would be to switch cartomizers. I have had good luck with Boge 2.0 and 3.0 with one manual punch, but there are lots of options out there. Is this your first go around with carto//tanks? You might check out 'Baditudes' blog for some useful information.

After the carto filling burns/singes the only way to get rid of the burnt taste is to replace it. A burnt carto can taint the flavor of the remaining juice in a tank so if you replace a burned carto with a fresh one the burnt taste can remain due to the tainted juice.

Sounds like wicking issues, a thick juice might require 2 or more holes or bigger holes or even slots or have to sit longer between vapes to absorb enough juice to prevent burning.

What brand and are they single or dual coil carto's?
Have you tried turning down the power?

No disrespect, but I wish there was a thumbs down option. I hate bcc tanks. Gurgling, leaking, dry hits, airy draw, and over all just flaky performance. If you like them more power to ya, but Imo they still need a lot of work.

Don't let the filler material bind you brother. It's a magical world.

I am so confused...

The shop I bought Kustom RY4, they filled up carto tank for me and it went around 3~4 days without any burning taste ( nic 6mg)

Today, I bought another RY4 Kustom (18mg) and the guy there filled up the carto tank and it only went like...2 hours maybe?

is higher nic juice more thick? The RY4 should leave out sweet taste but this 18mg is very tough.

I hope that 18 mg is more thick because it they are the same, its more confusing since 6mg went over 3 days without top-off.

I don't know what brand they are. I bought 5 bundle carto that comes in black box. And it reads as 2.8 ohms. So I started vaping from 4.2 v all the way up to 4.8 v.

I don't care for the condom method of filling cartomizers - personal preference. I have had much success with this method:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/3710-5-cartomizer-tank-setup.html

I agree with those who suggested that a single hole may not be adequate for that juice. Your vaping technique on a cartotank may also need adjustment. A long, slow, consistant draw of 4 - 6 seconds works best. Think of a straw in a thick milkshake. Each draw should pull replacement juice from the tank into the carto.

Are the cartos single or dual coiled? And I agree that once you get the burnt taste in a carto, it's toast...throw it away.

But I have been getting freaking perfect taste with same juice but lower nic level (6mg) for 4 days without top-off...

Seems like the carto isn't wicking fast enough. If your carto is prepunched with only 1 hole chances are its too small and not enough.. The brand of the carto is also important. I'd only trust Boge Smoktech and Ikenvape.. Punch your own cartos with big enough holes to wick the juice. Make sure you see bubbles coming from the holes in the carto after you take a drag. I prefer to condom fill my cartos with almost a ml of juice then take a few puffs of the carto without actually firing the mod so I see a few bubbles pop out.. That tells you the carto is taking in liquid. Cartos can be very hit and miss.. You're going to get a dud every so often.

And if you got 4 days with a dark juice on a carto chances are it's done, like others said, probably not wicking enough=premature death, dark juice=premature death, dark tobacco juices hide slight burning a bit better, new to vaping I bet your running you voltage a bit high and because of your juice didn't notice it. Too much voltage=premature death. I say if you got 4 days out of your cart then you did pretty good. I like cartos, especially after following baditudes advice. Cartos are great once you get your technique down but they are not indestructible and will fail or at least become unusable with enough abuse. With the darker juices I like, I run two slots so juice flow keeps up, they seem to gum up less and will tolerate a bit more heavy handedness with the power. But in the end I get no where near the usable life from a cart and dark juices as I do with light juices. If your new and just starting out, invest in a few boxes of carts, your going to kill a few till you get your technique dialed in. Grab a punch, put some holes in them till you find the combo that works for you.
