I have a vv reo and I just got my chalice in. From everything I have read I thought I'd love it but I'm having issues. I have built several coils for it and I seem to be doing something wrong. I was hoping you'd help. When I get it setup and ready to go the throat hit is so harsh it makes me cough and I don't even get that much vapor. I was hoping I'd get more vapor from this than the disposable ones I've been using. It isn't even close. If I draw really fast it seems a little better so I was thinking about opening up the hole in it a little but then I thought surely they did research and know how big the hole should be. I'm at a loss. I really want to love the chalice but so far I hate it. Even stopped using it for now till I figure out what to do.

I have tried 30 and 32ga and 2.5 and 3mm silica wick with stainless mesh. I believe What I have on it now is 32ga 5 wraps with 2.5 mm wick. Please help me love my chalice

I wonder what the problem could be, dustinstanley. When you fire it with the cap off, do you have any hot spots? Make sure you have the wick good and saturated. Can you see the juice come up through the hole when you squonk the REO? Sometimes I get an air lock or something and have to unscrew my bottle and screw it back. If I screw my bottle in too tightly, it won't squonk right, but I never realize it's not working right until I get a dry hit or two. The Chalice should be making LOADS of vapor....mine does.

I wish I knew how to help ya, I don't own a chalice- but I've only heard good things about them. Is this your first rebuildable? Even if it isn't, it's more likely that the Chalice doesn't "suck"- and there's something (or a few things) wrong with how you set it up. Make sure the coil is placed as close to the air hole as possible, and that the coils don't glow when it's wet with juice.

If all else fails, you can send it to me ;)

BTW, I just checked and the Chalice is actually IN STOCK today...which never happens.
