My Clone War: Nemesis, Atomo or Caravela?

I'm with you there my friend. I have a 1 year old and a 2 year old and my devices take a beating in my pocket a lot of the time.

Looking for something that can take low ohms daily, take a bit of abuse, has some looks to it and not spend over $100. I have been curious about the Magneto. Decisions decisions, way too many good choices.

i have a nemesis clone and a caravela clone. i would take the nemesis every day of the week over the caravela. what's all the hype about it? nemesis is way more adjustable and i like the button mechanism way better. i don't like how the button on the caravela can swivel while being pressed down.

i am waiting on my atomo though, so we'll see about that

Got it from vaperoyalty. I took it completly apart 1 more time. then I used very very fine steel wool to all the threads and it has worked flawless since yesterday, I somehow think it was user error in some way because a mechanical is so simple, what else could it be? So yes,,, I would recommend the Atomo!!

Thanks for that input D1. What exactly did you have to fiddle with on the Atomo?

just the contact pins in the top, the button screw, the delrin spacer, and the button. I.e., everything. Diff batteries and diff RBAs mean different fitments. Once I got the right place on the button I liked, I havent moved it or the delrin ring.

Another note on the clones: of the FASTTECH clones (Nemmy, 'Vela, Magneto/Wooliston, Origin, Atomo), the Atomo has the softest magnet switch of all. Featherlight touch. Wooliston/Magneto the strongest.

If you get the EHPRO caravela its not a 1:1 clone, IMO I would avoid it. There's a brass hcigar one on congrevape right now shipping on the 15th, its much better.

Friend has the EHPRO caravela, and all the brass color has partially faded away, looks really cheap now. I suspect the Atomo would end up the same, so based on the 3 choices here, I would probably get the Nemesis

Good to hear you got it going. It only figures that when I finally got ready to buy one from VR they were out of stock!! Now I get to play the waiting game and not sure he will restock.

Since we are on the topic of clone wars, I just ordered an Origin clone from 101 last night. I wanted the EhPro version that VR had, but just don't care for the finish on it. All my devices are either a satin or brushed finish. I can always have the rings on mine either plated or powder coated down the road if I really like it that much. I was tempted by the Turtle Ship clone as well. I should've just bought both. It has received some very good feedback also. Oh well, onto the next thing I guess... Now I need that Aqua clone to sit on top of my Origin clone!!!

Good to hear those side by side comparisons man thank you. It's looking like the Atomo or Nemesis and judging by the feedback that Nemi is sounding hard to beat. Unless there is a mod I'm not thinking of. That Magneto V2 is a poss too.

so i just received the atomo yesterday and have been playing around with it.

it's definitely nice, and i like the light touch of the button, but i would definitely not carry it around with me since there's no actual locking switch. it's a nice sleek mod to keep at home and grab whenever you want to use it.

I can't believe how small the caravela is.



I like the nemmy more though.
My vela has the issue with short tubes.
Even with a flat top sony vct3 30a 1600mah battery, it still doesn't close all the way with my kfl+ clone on it.
I like the center pin on the nemmy better, and it's adjustability to suit different batteries.
My favorite clones are the nemmy, astro and vela. In that order.

Are you sure that is an HCigar model? I didn't even know they carried one... I thought the one that VR carried was the DaVapes version. I think the one that FT carries is the Asmart version. Not sure about the Vapes Cafe...

So the Origin clone I ordered has been shipped and USPS says tomorrow it will be delivered... Anticipation is killing me!! I ordered an Aqua to go on top of it last night. Should see it Mon or Tue. If that wasn't enough, I ordered a clear tank section for the Aqua as well magnets for the Origin... I should be good for a little while. I just hope they are as good as advertised!!!

I love my Atomo from VR. Lowest Ive gone with it is .24, with a dual setup in my Trident. Great little mod. Currently my RSST sits on top. Looks like it was made for it! RSST is currently set up at .7ohm....
