Since I discovered the world of vaping just a few short days ago my life has changed and for the better. But now I must spread the good word. This is my little set of plans over the next few weeks, if anyone can point me to the cheapest yet most reliable websites, since shipping won't matter too much (So long as it doesn't take any longer than like 2-3 weeks to get to me). I plan on trying to make this into a chain if i can. sort of PiF in person with the people i care about.

But once I get more into vaping and am able to stock pile some supplies I plan on trying to convert as many of my friends and family as I can... I have a few mind... one has been smoking since she was 14 and is now in her late 60s... she smokes nearly two packs a day of menthol light 120s.

I know for her I am going to need something with a long lasting battery life and a large cart in it... along with quite a few attys and a nice bit of juice, but if i can help her quit then i have done some good with my life.

the only problem is being recently unemployed and living nearly 700 miles away. I'll probly make a trip back up to washington to see family and friends and I hope by that time I have been able to earn enough money to help her quit... the only problem is that I will be going up there in less than a months time more than likely.

and to make matters worse I will have to stock pile enough supplies for myself and maybe for the rest of her family that lives with her since they all smoke around a pack a day if not more... But I might be able to get her to get her family into vaping.

and my sister who is also at a pack a day... and is so technologically handicapped she doesn't even know how to use google...

A coworker who is insanely health conscious but still smokes like a chimney. she is my best friend in this entire state. possibly my only one, and i've lived down here in CA for a year now. I know she would absolutely love vaping.

I also plan on converting my mother who has smoked a pack a day for the last 15 years. but that won't be too hard since she lives so close to me.

Those are the ones i can think of right now. any advice and help given will be more than appreciated =]

And is anyone else currently involved in a sort of mission as i am?

The $30 LF Riva sets (510 or 901) you posted in Deals and Steals are a great deal.
For the the cost of a few packs of stinkies, it's a great way to find out if vaping is for them with very little investment.

Thats a big mission,I try to take it one person at a time and not get ahead of myself.I know that I cant afford to give everyone brand new kits,so I just try to help who I can.I have a kit that I let people borrow to try and if they like it,they can order one for themselves. It works and Im not wasting money buying stuff for people who may end up not liking it.Just an idea.

Get her the Riva kit and the low resistance 306 cartomizers. They're hotter than the lr 510 cartos and they have the same threads as the 510 so they work great on the Riva. Smoking that much...she's going to need heat, good amounts of vapor and long batt life. Riva + LR 306 cartos = best chance (IMO).

Low Resistance 306 Cartomizer

I recommend Riva or eGo for long battery life. eGo's get 8 hours easily! I think one trick is finding good juice. TopVapor from MadVapes has awesome stuff. TastyVapor has lots of good flavors too. I prefer to steer clear of DeKang stuff, it's rather weak IMO.

Battery life is going to depend on a few factors. The mAh of the battery and the resistance of the atty or carto used on it are key. 900mAh battery with a LR atty or LR carto, I give it 6 or 7 hours tops. 750mAh standard Riva batt with LR on it, going to last about 5 hours really. Of course, standard resistance attys or cartos are going to help the batt last longer, but not put out the heat. There's some fine tuning that every vaper has to do...PITA for some, fun for other. :)

I smoked 3 packs a day and go through about 2 1/2 1000mah batteries a day. When I was using my Rivas, about every 5 hours I'd have to swap them out.

If the person spends a lot of time on the computer, an eGo USB passthrough is excellent. No batteries required. :)

I like keyz idea a lot. I've gotten kits for a couple of people who use it for a couple days and then put it on a shelf. Of course, they don't want to give them back, because they 'might' use it someday. It can be frustrating. I think if you had a 'loaner kit' like keyz....for a heavy smoker they would have vaped enough and saved enough on analogs in a weeks time, 2 at the most, to be able to 1)know if vaping is their thing, and 2)be able to purchase a kit of their own.

Good luck with your current mission~!

Thanks for the replies, I was thinking about picking up one or two of the riva 901s that I posted from liberty flights and using those to try and convert them, since they are a good price.

A loaner didn't even come to my mind, I might just try that when I am up there, and then just take the Rivas back, unless they really like them enough that I feel it won't be a waste by letting them keep it... sort of a probationary period if you will.

i'm hoping is that one of the people I lend them to doesn't end up vaping in the car and throwing it out the windows out of habit...

OMG, that would just bite! Hahahaaha!

I loan things out all the time. It's a great way to introduce someone to vaping without spending a ton of money. A couple of cartos, and some juice gets used, then I get the rest back for someone else to try when the opportunity arrises. Works out great. :)
