My daughter's 7th grade SCIENCE class was given this article for a writing assignment (they had to write a synopsis).

My daughter, who is 12, knows these devices saved her mother from tobacco-related disease/death. She also knows more about them than the person who wrote this article because she is regularly listening to my rants LOL. Anyways, she was absolutely LIVID but too timid to cause a stink in class.

I will probably be highlighting and indexing all of the inaccuracies in this article, attaching relevant studies, and giving it back to the teacher with MY synopsis. It will probably be something along the lines of: "I would expect a SCIENCE class to utilize science-backed articles, not opinion pieces full of faulty information."

Anyways, we just got home and I had to share this with you all right away. I'm pretty irritated.

Pretty irritated? I'd be furious.
But you're probably a lot nicer than me.

I think it's pretty awful that ejuice dealers would market flavors such as cotton candy, bubble gum and atomic fireball that adults would never buy -- I mean what "adult" in their right mind would want to vape chocolate flavored juice. Absolutely these are only being marketed to "children" --

And how great that a 7th grade science teacher would choose to introduce her students to e-cigs by making them read and write a report on e-cigs -- definitely introducing them to cotton candy, bubble gum and atomic fireball ejuice will ensure they are not curious and will not try e-cigs.

I absolutely hope the next article assigned is the Oreo article noted by Anjaffm!!!

Adults hate flavor. I put dry wall putty on my toast instead of jelly. Jelly's for kids.

PS. I just now got the sarcasm. Misread the inflection in your words at first. :)

Oh yes, definitely!
Kids would never ever try stuff that the teacher makes them read about and then says is bad for them. Never ever! Duh.......

That article was given as an assignment in a science class?!?! If I were you, Linden, I wouldn't be at home expressing my anger, I'd be in jail and the science teacher would be in the hospital!

I guess it should come as no surprise to me that young kids are being indoctrinated by ANTZ-inspired educators, but it really *really* makes me angry!

Herewith, my offer added to the others, of whatever help you'd like in order to rebut that outrageous assignment.

Drywall putty? I put bran on my toast. That's what adults do.

I thought I was the only one that liked dry wall putty flavored nicquid. Sawdust WTA hits the spot too.

Personally, I find equal parts sawdust and bran mixed into drywall putty vapes with a certain je ne sais quoi... (hard on coils, though...)

I am such a non-confrontational person. And I tend to burst into tears when I am emotional. This is a super hard thing for *me* due to this. My daughter does not want me to send this information to her teacher in any way that would connect it to her. So, I'm kind of chewing over what I can handle emotionally and professionally in regards to this. The RAWR part of me thinks I should meet face to face with her and talk about it. However, I know I would totally loose my .... and get all emotional. Because really, this is an incredibly emotional topic for me.

Maybe someone from CASAA would know how to handle it so that you and your daughter don't get identified by the teacher. It would be professional in nature and might just get the teachers attention more than a one on one with a students parent.

You tell them .
It seams to me that kids that have a parent that has quit smoking using e-cigarette know what they are and what there for are not likely to even try them.thank god .
There's so much misinformation out there ,wishfull thinking on the part of the government .
