That was my 3rd micro coil ever made. My absolute favorite so far, gonna hate when I have to take this one apart. 28 ga Kanthal, 1 ohm, 1/16" bore.
That's why I lean towards dryburnable wicks. I do a lot of NET's. want2vape has some really good ones, The Blonde is my favorite.
I used to be big on silica. Huge on it. But ever since my cotton switch... I couldn't go back.
It's not the end of the world though. I can (and did) rewick at the bar Saturday night, just to prove a point to a friend who was a nay-sayer. A little bit of rolled cotton fits excellently inside the body of my reo grand, and in less than 3 minutes (I was very well "hydrated" we'll say) I was back and vaping with a clean wick.
Yepper! That's a big plus of using cotton for me Dufftime. I have a caramel tobacco DIY that I really like, but it gunks coils in a day. But like you said, I can pull the wick, dry burn the coils, thread in another pc of cotton, & be vaping again in no time. Easy peazy. FWIW, 28G on a 16g needle @ 1 ohm is my happy place & I keep a small stash of cotton inside my Reo too.
Using bamboo as i do or cotton thread why not just rewick I do it all the time often get a month or so for a coil and rewick every week or so
I vape mostly NETs and have several microcoiled drippers set up with cotton. When performance drops it's easy to rewick. At that point my cotton is totally black and pretty slimy!
baha. You vape a complete identical coil setup that I do. Maybe I can convince you to send me a 5ml of your DIY and we can have a candid pic. Lol
CC isn't my only juice. In fact, it's my first bottle. What flavors do you use?
Oh ok. I'm no master mixer. Quite the opposite really since I've only been DIY a few mos. But I like my concoctions enough to swear off of vendor juices. My coil killer is 3% turkish tobacco w/a drop of realcig/ml & 10%caramel, 5% honey, & couple drops of ethyl malto & ACV.
