cotton wick questions

I can go two days with an organic cotton wick, but I don't. I do so love a fresh organic cotton wick and a clean coil so I change and dry burn at the end of every day. A small price to pay for a great vape. If the coil has black gunk on it, it doesn't matter if you have a good wick, it won't taste right. I usually recoil every 3 days

I've been experimenting with hemp, and cotton/hemp hybrids.

The only time my wicks turn black is when I vape dark juices or juices with particles in them (I think yours probably qualify for both categories). Or, if you wick too tight (use too much cotton) the part inside the coil tends to change color faster.

But the great thing about cotton is it's super easy to pluck out a gunked up wick and toss a new one in. Takes only a minute and you don't have to worry about the possible dangers associated with SS mesh or silica.

well, all i can say is that you're a better man than me...

oh, wait? wha???

what i meant to say is that this old fart ends up destroying the coil half the time i change wicks. i'm playing with SS, ekowool, XC-nnn, in search of the perma-wick. hell, i'd try an asbestos wick if it lasted long enough...

this happens to me when i put too much cotton in there......as long as it don't taste burnt i keep going.....HA

I seem to remember the wording of that phrase a bit differently but then....I'm gettin on in years. I remember Fat Freddy, Phineas P. Freak and Fat Freddy's Cat ("He took out my litterbox and didn't put it back--he must want me to **** in his headphones.")

SS will be your best bet Dennis - but HRH hates it - says it's too harsh. In Genny's it's great, but it can be fiddly in an RM2 and i have tried a hybrid with cotton yarn wrapped in SS but she didn't like that either.
