My DIY USB Passthrough

I have been searching for a good pass through since 3 that i've had have failed so in my frustration I butchered an old lighter I had. Used some parts from the passthroughs that failed on me and shazam.

Been using it all day now works great. The only part i had to purchase was the button 2.50 at that shack that used to have something to do with radios.

Yeah i felt so wrong buying that but just like trying to find a good PT you get what you pay for.

I just cut open a 401 passthrough as it was not working properly. It seems I MAY have made a mess of the circuit boards. Do I really need them or can I install a switch an wire it directly to the atty contacts. If so can you supply me with a simple wiring diagram? The 401 was an auto and beside being too hard to hit the thing was intermittant somehow. I do have all the parts and might be able to reuse them if necessary.
