So a little over a month ago I was at my doctor's office with severe respritory issues and a chronic cough that I had had for MONTHS due to smoking. The doctor as usual advised me that I needed to quit smoking because of my asthma. She told me that I had no idea how many patients she tells on a daily basis that they have cancer. She explained how exhausting it is to give such terrible news on a daily basis. today I proudly went in and told her I successfully quit smoking with little to no trouble. She was ecstatic, She asked me how I did it, and after I explained she was very interested. The chronic cough has vasnished! She said she had heard about them but had not yet had any patients who have tried them. I gave her a stack of business cards and she told me she is going to advise all of her patients who are smoking to check out V4L's website.

Had to share, I was very excited!!!

that's awesome. bronchitis hasn't gotten me in the past few months but last year i had a 3 mos case of it... combine smoking, weak immune system, and overactive allergies and i was always having some problem or another. i'm hoping vaping works as well for me. :D

on another note, my mom's doc told her she had to quit for the same reason as yours, kimmy. got her to order a V4L kit last week. :D

I got really paranoid about the effects of 30 years of smoking last year -
I went in to the doctor and got chest x-rays and a complete physical including blood work -

I told my doc and promised my wife that if I was "clean" I would stop smoking -
I just didn't see any point in stopping if I had no "good health" to protect - ;)
I was found to be in exceptional health with a crystal clear x-ray -
So I set out to keep my promise -

I found e-cigs while looking for a way - Instantly I knew this was the way for me -
I didn't really WANT to quit smoking - Just wanted to avoid all those nasty chemicals -

I have a regular appointment with my doc this week - I'm ready for my official pat on the back too -
    Haven't had a cigarette - or even wanted one - in over 9 months now - :)

awesome to hear! To some though it can be habitual and if you been smoking for 30 years the habit of hand to mouth gesture may be ingrained in your mind I would keep the pv with some 0mg nic carts to keep that habit in check. after all you dont want to be hitting an analog when that habit comes around.

Excellent Kimmy. My Doc said similar to me 3 weeks ago. He likend vaping to smoking one cig every 5 years. He was also aware of the FDA BS and told me if "if the .......s were concerned about health, they would quit with the useless politics" Made me feel good to know that my Doc knows what is going on, unfortunately his educated word means nothing to the W.C.Ses in Washington.

    LOL - No - I keep the PV - I vape 36mg
    I'm still addicted to nicotine - I'm cool with that - It don't cause cancer - :p

Congrats! Yea When I had a physical a month or so ago I asked the doctor how my lungs sounded after she checked them and she said they sounded perfectly clear. So I told her that I had switched to vaping about a month prior and she asked me to whip it out right in the office to show her. So I took a few drags and she immediately went and told the other nurses that smoked to come in and see it! She had heard of e-cigs before but never seen one. Let's just say I handed out a big stack of business cards that day!:D

Thanks! That means a lot! I've never been more content, ya know?

    Kimmy,

I have Asthma, and Copd myself, which is why I do, what I do. I am HAPPY for you. Keep up the great work. I checked the box, again today, and have yet to see your christmas gift. I really appreciate your thoughts, and love.

Let me know if I can help you in ANY way.

Way to go guys! I told my doctor last month about vaping and as he's really old fashioned had his doubts but was open enough to say let's see what things look like in 3 months when I go back. Everything else I tried that he prescribed didn't work and I immediately started putting weight on which is as bad in my opinion. Stopping the analogs alone has dropped by BP which is unusual as I'm still getting the nic, but at night I was chain smoking, now I vape. No more high blood pressure meds since I started vaping. Hopefully the trend continues. We really do need physicians in our corner, thanks for sharing!

Thanks Steve! I sent it to your name with vapor4life in parenthesis. Maybe someone from the office opened it? I make custom paintings from pictures people give me as a side job. I made you a box for carts and juices with the V4L lettering and smoke symbol..maybe it will turn up! Thanks again for everything you do for us!

I showed it to both my G.P. and my vascular surgeon. Neither was very impressed, I'm disappointed to say.

I had only been vaping for 2-3 weeks. I want to see what they say on my next visits. ;-)

I know it's making a difference to my poor, abused lungs.

I think it really depends on the doctor! She was very impressed but my other doc wasn't as enthusiastic!
