I was under the impression that an 801 and rn4072 were both penstyles but different models!

the parts for both models are compatible with each other and look identical.

its the same as the DSE901 and RN4075.........both identical with different model numbers. only apparent difference is that the RN4075 is meant to run 15% hotter, so id imagine its the same thing for the RN4072 when compared to a DSE801.

Similar designs, different manufacturers. They aren't quite the same. Parts may or may not be interchangeable. There are others which look the same too.

i have a RN4072 and a DSE801...........identical, parts compatible!

i have a DSE901 and a RN4075...........identical, parts compatible!

but im not gonna argue over it!

like you said, they are just from different manufacturers.

so i assume that you have tried trading parts then in the same way that i have to test if they are comptable???

what do you think the differences are then???

just to add, this is a quote from the www.e-cigs.co.uk website where i got mine from:-

"This clever device allows you to connect your Classic atomiser directly to a USB source and vape without the use of a battery, so no more flat batteries! Fits all Classic RN4072 and DSE801 atomisers."

I agree the parts are interchangeable in most cases but both vape differently as they are from different manufacturers therefore they are not the same e-cig

Are you telling me that you find no difference between the 2?

lol, you said they "may or may not be compatable" but now you agree!

i wasnt referring to how they compare with regards to vapour production, battery life etc. im talking about looks and compatability with each other.
as i said, the RN series are meant to run 15% hotter than the DSE type, which would explain why the RN models produce a tad more vapour.......in my opinion.

Anyway, the point of posting what I did was just to say that there are some differences, not to pick a fight :) I can't actually tell from the video what model it is so I can only guess spradling has more information.

Anyway on the issue at hand I do like the presentation style of the video, its no nonsense and gives a newbie a good look at how it all works. You could maybe experiment with lighting to give a better impression of the vapour, possibly, and maybe zoom in a bit.

This is what you said!!

And i never said they were incompatable, just the fact that they were different e-cigs

firstly, my apologies. i read papas post and thought it was your reply

but identical DOES mean they look the same!!!!

for example IDENTICAL twins.........they look the same but it doesnt mean that they both fart the same! lol

i can only go by the fact that MY models are ALL interchangeable with each other and are IDENTICAL to each other!!

so lets just agree to disagree before we completely hijack Jims thread and turn this into the biggest debate since Parkedgate! :D

Hi, I just want to point out to any other newbies that these parts are not always the same/interchangeable.

I tried ordering DSE 901 atomizers (from True Vapor) for my RN4075 (purchased from Pure Smoker) and the DSE901 DID NOT FIT. Nathan at True Vapor was great at explaining this and refunding my money, but I still don't have any replacement atomizers and really want a USB passthrough, but can't find any.

They look nearly identical but the "true" DSE901 parts are smaller and do not thread with an RN4075 purchased from PureSmoker, who of course has nothing I need ever in stock.

If anyone knows of a supplier for the RN4075 (UBS pass through, extra atomizers, etc) please let me know.
