I've been smoking since 2007, but only a pack or two a month. A few months ago I bought a $3 ecig and 10ml ejuice from DX and I love it! After using my $3 ecig for about 2 months now, I think I'm ready to move onto the bigger and better ecigs. I vape low or zero nic. I vape for the pleasure, not for the rush or high that most smokers go after. I'm willing to spend $100, but I'm clueless. I've been watching GreenGrim on Youtube, but his vids only confuses me more. His vids are great, but with all the recommendations I see and read about gaaahhhh! I might get this: VAMO Variable Volt/Watt APV V2

I want a battery that will last a while, but that isn't too large in dimensions. I think I want a rebuildable atomizer, not too sure. So confused. I need to lurk more. BTW, this is the ecig I got. It produces somewhat less vapor than cig smokes, but it's good enough for a 1 cig a day smoker like me. The VAMO is a great device; especially for the price. It would be a good investment to make, along with a rebuildable atty. As far as rebuildables go, a good one to start and learn with is the Phoenix. Stormy's Vapor Cellar has them, as well as wicking materials (both silica rope and stainless steel mesh) and coil wire (various guages of kanthal and nichrome).

The Vamo is not a small mod and they are heavy, plus they have issues depending on where you buy them.

I have a really good suggestion and it's a place most new vapers transition to when they step away from the cig-alike battery. This is a really easy set up, produces great vape, fits in your pocket, easy to care for:

Get a Genuine Joye Ego C Twist, a charger and a Kanger T3 clearomizer.

That is a really dependable set up, it's a nice back up if you decide to move to a bigger mod. Most vapers have them around even if they do move to bigger PV's so it's no going to collect dust.

I suppose you could jump in to rebuilds but that's kinda the deep end of the pool.

+1 for vamo they r rather large joye ego twist is a good battery. n suggest a kanger protank there right around $20 n the glass tank won't limit you on juices that will melt plastic tanks. n heads r cheap to buy 6-7$ a 5 pack or recoil wick yourself .. I use 2.5 mm wick and 32g kanthal a-1 on mine cost maybe .20 to do. youtube has a plethora of coil rebuilders. Peace.

I've been searching around for the past few days, and the Kanger Protank seems to be my #1 choice. It is newb friendly, and can be re-coiled. I've looked into the Phoenix and the hassle of rebuilding puts me off.

As for the Vamo, I'm starting to rethink it. However, I don't want to go with the ego, but I might end up wanting more. I might as well jump ahead to something adjustable.

Thanks everyone for the input.
