Hey everybody, my name is Jalfredo

Are all e-cig/starter kits like this? I bought one for $20.00, I live in Australia

When I charged it at first until the battery was full, I replaced the cartridge to a fresh one filled for vaporizing, on the first toke, it was awesome, a lot of vapor, throat hit etc, I also gathered that if I hold down and cover up the two holes around just above the cartridge, I get a more harsher & stronger effect, I felt like I was in a smoker free paradise.

4-9 tokes later, it absolutely produces nothing. When I wait about 4 hours, and toke again, I get the same result as I did the time I toked, is the automizer just plain crap that it needs to cool down in between vaporizing or something? if that's the case, what do I do about that? I don't wanna vapor 2 drags in between 3 hours nammsay!

I thought it might have been the louzy automizer the website sold me, but they were nice enough to send me a new e-cig of the same model, but I got pretty much got the same outcome I did with the previous model I was using. I just wanna vapor as if I'm smoking a regular cigarette for 10 minutes, so can anyone please tell me if this is a common issue?

Here's a link to the kit I bought

sorry dude/dudette. it appears you pay what you get for. those lookalikes will never give you the satisfaction you need to get the job done. that little voice in your head saying it has to look like a cig. is just the trained smoker talking to you. forget that inner child. give that 20 dollar starter kit to a homeless person. an ego, volcano, or any number of other starter kits out there will get the job done. no doubt everyone will start chiming in soon enough. stop negotiating, and putting conditions on coping with your addiction. if you can't afford to commit a decent chunk of money to get this done, start saving, and reading these threads. get a REAL starter kit and do it. there is more motivation to stick with it if there is a substantial financial commitment. no doubt you are broke just like the rest of us. but you really can't put a price on being free of tobacco. and you will never get ahead wasting money on analogs.

I've been vaping for just about 3 months now. The first kit I bought was KGO kit1100mAh by SLB

That kit came highly recommended here as a solid kit for me as a good starter kit. I have one I've been using for 3 months, and my wife is has almost a month on hers. We are both very content with our KGO kits and for what you get the price is pretty good as well.

With that said, I don't know ANY vendors shipping policy as far as international shipping, but I certainly would recommend that kit to anyone wanting to start vaping.

I also started with a cig-a-like. It was enough for me to realize the potential. Then that I found these forums. I jumped to an ego twist variable voltage and ce4 clearomizer and the experience improved tremendously. I recommend saving your money. For a little more than what you paid, as the others have suggested, you can get a much better experience.

OK. The REAL answer is........(OK, well that's good advice above, but....)

Plenty of people use cig-a-likes for vaping. They work...to varying degrees. Sounds like your pre-filled cartomizers (the "filter" with coil and liquid in it) isn't wicking well. It dries up after the 1st hit and putting it aside for a while let's it redistribute inside.

Get some compatible cartos. IDK what type...will have to research the connector type. 510 or 808D-1 or 808D-2 are common. Some are proprietary so they can "lock you in" to their cartos. That's not a good thing, IMO.

So get some "blanks", some e-juice and try it.

Or upgrade as advised above. BUT THAT'S UP TO YOU.

The cig-a-likes don't have very long battery life. OTOH...I just used a disposable that vaped for a day like a freight train. So..it's kind of a research thing, and a YMMV thing.

EDIT: and IDK Australia's laws ...but there's a sub forum here for you.
Australia - New Zealand Forum

EDIT again: Or do BOTH. Cig-a-like and bigger battery. Just get the same connectors on em. And don't mix up the chargers.

We're all on here for the same reason, a s s h o l e

I didn't come on here asking for a psychological analysis on my smoking habits & whats going on inside my "inner child", if I wanted advice, I'd seek therapy.

Nor did I come here to be attacked on my financial status, I made a thread purely voicing my opinion on my e-cig starter kit, if anyone had the same problem with thoughts and ideas about the issue.

If we're all spending my more money on fillers, e-juice, different models of e-cigs & cartridges, then what is wrong with starting low...
