Krinkle,

I have a GGTS that sits in a suede bag. It's only seen the light of day once or twice. It's my backup.

Rick,

That's odd. When I bought my GGTS from COV, the tube came with those marks on it. Obviously when they ship the GGTS the telescope is closed all the way so the top and bottom tubes meet. Doesn't bother me that much but good to know I can get rid of them.

That's unfortunate! Whenever Bruce gets in the next shipment, he should start shipping them like how he did with the Odys, with each part individually packaged.

Here's a pic of my restored telescope. The one with the lines is in slightly better condition than the polished one was before I went to town on it with the buffing wheel. If you want to dig through the GG Pics Wanted thread, I posted some more detailed instructions on how I restored it a while back.

Almost never leave the house without a GGTS, and when I don't, it's because I decided to take out my TB, iAtty+Provari, or Ody+Provari. I keep them as scratch free as possible though (not as scratch free as I'd like though, but that's the price I pay for using em constantly, which I don't regret or second guess at all).

How on earth do you fit your GGs in your pocket. You rock'em huuuuge

I wonder that myself, makes me cringe just thinking of it. Don't know what causes that.

I have had that with both of mine. The solution is to lightly sand the inside threads on the engraved tube. I use Scotchbrite or 600 grit sandpaper inside. This will create enough tolerance to allow the telescopic tube to go up and down without marks. Then of course polish the telescopic tube to remove the scratches there. Again I mount the GG on a carto and insert it into a drill for high speed turning.

My telescope has blackened thread tracks to. I assume its caused the way PaulieD has described it. Its not that big of a deal, it just happens.

I'm a livestock hauler (bull hauler) by trade. In and out of my truck, climbing the sides of my cattle truck, climbing the sides of loading chutes, its work. Getting the job done and staying out of harms way, is my job. Getting dirty, and having some scars is just the way it is in my world.

The day after getting my Ody expansion I accidently dropped my GG 10 ft, shattered the clear window, dented the top & bottom cap. I ordered replacement caps, and waited for more parts to come in. My GG is plenty tough and just as pretty as her sisters, but she's an honest worker that can hold her own in my world.

Good post
This is my everyday carry piece. She's got a SS bottom cap, machined button and i scotchbrighted the Ody portion (sorry DSpin!) to identify this Ody as my everyday one. What's significant for me is that I was a 7.4v vaper for a year until I discovered the Ody. Now, I can get all the TH, flavor and vapor off of 3.7v which is amazing to me. My battery supply just doubled!

Very Nice! I really like to see the GGTS getting used. I collect a lot of high end custom knives as well and usually carry a Mayo with a Talonite blade as my EDC. Tom Mayo is a great guy and a brilliant knife maker but you would be shocked at how many of his knives never see the light of day and just sit in a safe. To me it's kind of a shame to hide something that you're proud to own and use. The way I see it is that my GGTS is just like a high end custom knife. Would it look prettier if I never took it out of the house? YES! But then I wouldn't be able to enjoy using it all the time.

wonderful pics Torq.
Also I have to say something about your wooden mouthpiece. First of all its a work of art. Second, it gives a different taste to my liquid! Its more peppery! I love this taste and I believe that we have to put this wood inside Ody's mouthpiece. Can you please make an experiment? Can you make a thin tube with a small hole via it and put it inside Ody and tell me how it feels? I am sure that the taste would be exellent!

do that and you will see how different your Ody will taste. If you put aluminium inside it vapes different again. If you put plastic inside it vapes like Iatty, if you put cotton it doesnt taste nothing at all, etc lol

But this wood was perfect for me!

ps.... maybe we can put a filter inside like pipes have! That way all things like small pieces of any harmful thing will be kept by this filter!!

Yeah, I wouldn't suggest using a filter, totally unnecessary. The only filter I'd consider using is water! I'm going to make an adapter using surgical tubing and a 14 (or 18)mm male glass on glass slide to hook GG up to a "water pipe". Even if I don't fill it with water, It'll allow for virtually infinitely larger hits to be taken.
