my experience on my second try around ( or third or fourth )

Hello to all, and thank a lot for being such a great resourceful tool for us newbies.

My name is Francois ( yes, French and not from up north but from France ), I have been an analog smoker for 25 years going from the blue-tar cigarette of the late 80's to the latest famous "Blue" brand of cigarette.
Just by coincidence, I tried out a "Blue" type of ecigs a few month ago... it was available , their marketing was great so I made the plunge.
Unfortunately, this wasn't enough for me and pushed those ecigs in the back of my sleeper truck to almost forgot about them. I thought all ecigs were the same and gave up on giving up analogs.

Until last week when I met a friend that was using a ego type cig with CE4 carto's. Well I knew he was a heavy smoker and when he told me he didn't touch a analog for 3 months, I was surprised and started to ask him all kind of questions about it. He was very happy to answer all of them.
Well, I spend hours looking online, and found this forum that was very helpful for reviews but also for diy and custom mods.

Last saturday, I probably drove 60miles to found several vaping stores around where I live. from the one that try to sold me their own version of a starter kit to a much more knowledgeable vendor in Leesburg, VA

He sold me 2 ego-c twist 1000mAh, 1 protank mini II and a bottle of 24mg tobacco juice. Well, I left with a extra mini-II tank and 2 other bottle of 6mg of juices as I truck often and don't come home often enough to run out of supply on the road.

I knew about the issues with the protank and decided to still take them as I saw a lot of posts and youtube videos on how to improve those.

Well, after a few days on the road, I already broke a tank from dropping my ecig. ( fragile things don't like to be dropped on tiles )

Well, it has been 6 days now that I haven't touch an analog and I am already thinking about tank mods using a Bernoulli calculator. ( well like a dropper using suction to drop juice on a unwicked coil platter )
I also will look into a powerful piezzo-electric type vaporizer ( like the commom cheap no filter humidifier )

This ecig thing kinda awaken the tinker thinker out of me......

How are you charging your ecigs? I hope you have a hook-up to where you plug into the cig lighter in the truck. also, egos come in passthroughs so you can vape while you charge. just a thought.

Good luck
And congrats on making the switch.

:)

Holy... I just saw your location... heh you're just down the road from me :) There's another decent smoke shop in Charles Town the Smoking Head. They has a decent supply of juice and they carry tanks and mods and supplies. The owner is a nice guy who also vapes. They also have different juices to sample.
